I know I am a bit late but well done to Liverpool on reaching the EL final. They will find Sevilla obdurate and a team that can counter very effectively. Like Liverpool they have underperformed this season as they are behind both Athletic and Celta in the chase for the two EL spots, which is a surprise given they talent in their squad. Although if they win the Copa del Rey they get one of them so it won't matter a jot if they finish 7th.
It would be even more sensational if we were to make Europe and Liverpool lost the Europa final, ending up with them having their midweek evenings off, next season.
Watched the match last night in a pub full of Reds/drunken revellers who'd been at the races. One of the hoorah henries looked annoyed that he'd been woken up by Lallana's goal. Was pleased for the group of mates I'd gone with, but left them to their party in the 89th minute. Watching the buggers win is one thing, I don't need to celebrate it! However, in reality, wasn't it easy? Strange when you don't give a **** who wins. They were so obviously superior, I couldn't get the tension that only went when Twatbeard scored. My group of mates started up a chorus "OWTSGMI" and were shouting "Nice one, Saint" which confused the hell out of the race goers! Will be in France for the Final. Red wine and Reds win?

https://uk.sports.yahoo.com/news/why-west-ham-finishing-top-131942260.html Interesting article about how precarious our 4th CL spot is with Italy breathing down our necks. The title is talking about the qualification of West Ham as being a problem, but further down they also blame our poor performance for losing European points. I accept some culpability, but surely it is mostly down to the poor performance of our top clubs over the past several seasons. And you can't have it both ways....keeping the extra European place will increase the chance of a 'new' club qualifying for Europe and perhaps dragging the points down.
That's sad news, its a terrible deterioration, hope his family are strong. He was on 'Come dine with me' a few years back with Razor & Carlton, he was brilliant!
Patrick Ekeng?! I knew of him (admittedly thought Football Manager and seeing him at AFCON) but he was pretty good. That's awful news.
Find it kind of sick some of the pictures of him in the papers today. Him lyimg on the ground obviously in real bad way. To think that is him dying yet the press still show it. RIP
This just happened in the USL in America... The player in question has been suspended indefinitely pending full investigation. Already plenty of calls for him to be thrown out altogether.
