It has to happen eventually yes.... someone like pardew or allardyce are wums too. Send out a player to get a yellow to wind him up then start in on him.... that's how they think.
The groundskeeper found Roberto Loldado wandering around Anfield this morning, still wondering where Firmino went
Although I won't let it put a damper on a great night, I have to say I agree with her. If the only way we can do well in one competition is by giving up in others then we won't get very far.
helps if you balance the point with common sense though. say for arguments sake we did as you and wishi hoped for and put equal effort into both europa and league, i doubt we would be much better off in the league than we are now as utd, west ham have too many points and 4th was probably gone weeks ago. and as a result if we got injuries to key players and it had an impact on our europa campaign, feck knows what the moaning from wishi would be like then ffs. we made a fecking European cup final and people are still not happy
We'll make a better fist of the league (and hopefully a European campaign) when Klopp gets in the quantity and quality of player he wants.. May take a transfer window or two, but the man has a plan, bear with him and enjoy the ride!
I feel that he understands we are going through a transitional period and is focusing on what he can do at this point. Come next season he will have to compete on all fronts and I'm sure he already understands this. So in the moment we should enjoy what we have and not moan on a night when we've reached a European cup final, we can moan when our B team get spanked on the weekend.
We played that game perfectly. I said before we needed a goal in the first half and we got it into seven minutes of the game. We then can control the rest of the game because its a level playing field then.If we didn't score in the first half then it would of been chaos in the second half which falls into Villareals hands. Everyone played great, shame the final is on a Wednesday at 6:30 uk time im doing a 10-6 shift.
Oh, I'm definitely happy about that. I'm just saying I understand wishi's point of view - though perhaps her timing was off a little. As for the bit I've highlighted, it's all if buts and maybes. You've just created one scenario to suit your argument but there are many others. As an alternative, what if we put all our eggs in one basket then dropped it? The people who are over the moon at the moment would once again be back to slagging off the entire team. This isn't meant to be a moan, just a bit of realism amongst the euphoria. After the match, talking about the Anfield atmosphere, Klopp looked at the fans through the camera and said something like -if you can do this at some games, why not at others? Same philosophy applies to the players. Anyway, I'm not going to carry on with this because I'm really pleased that we're in the final, but I'm just saying that if we can't compete at a consistent level in more than one competition we won't be the team we aspire to. This either/or stuff really is a false dichotomy, we can and I'm sure we will with Klopp, do better on all fronts.
LOL. That was quality from Firmino - needs to deliver these performances more often. Hopefully he cracks on next season.
maybe we will when we dont have so much bad luck with injuries. we have lost sakho(own stupidity but still missing), henderson and origi, all 3 of them were near enough guaranteed to start games, maybe thats why klopp prioritized one comp as it had the best rewards attached to it. as for the atmos comment, well works both ways give the fans something to make a noise about.
Agree Saint. However I think Klopp is rightly prioritising EL but in time (next season), he'll have a squad big enough and good enough to compete on all fronts. Prior to last night, we lost 3 key players In Can, Sakho and Origi. He's also had injuries to several players throughout the season and he hasn't signed anyone either.
Hope so. He's struggled to adapt, but he's always worked hard and the quality is there. He needs to work on his final ball because he gives away possession too often with poor passes. Last night he was great, especially in the second half. That trick was worthy of Suarez - I had to watch the replay a couple of times to see what he'd done. Soldado's still wondering.
Yes swiss or central european time is 8:45pm. I saw this earlier doing thread. It is on LFC website as 7:45pm.
I think honestly I'd still debate milner v henderson and sturrdige v origi. Last night and actually last weekend sturridge showed he'll do the running. I think last night the only player we missed was sahko and toure showed he could mix it with guys who are not lightening paced forwards We will miss sahko bit i felt klopp put my tactics in play perfectly. He played a virtual 3 at the back there with can toure and lovern. Can was brilliant in between the CBs. they have no freaking chance off him.
