At the time the season was going pear-shaped. - First game back for the reserves drew 15,000(including me). - Beat Manchester United away in the FA Cup to avenge the 1-0 defeat in the 6th round at BP in 1949. - Kept City in Div 2 with the goal in their 1-0 win in the last match of the season away at Doncaster. - This was his last match for City.
