Whether we rest these players or not - frankly I'm not bothered either way now we're safe - I disagree with Curtis on what he said about the youngsters. He said that these are two tough games so we shouldn't throw the youngsters in and "expose them". Alan - they are ALL tough games in the Prem. If you can't use youngsters when you're mathematically safe when can you? It would be good to see Kingsley back and I'd like to see what Gorre can do at this level.
I think the club have been very sensible in resting welsh players now we are safe. They both need the break to freshen their legs ready for wales next game. It is a great gesture by the club imo...
I'm expecting a piss poor performance as the players will have also received the news about next seasons kit and are preparing their transfer requests.
As if they would worry about what they wear to play football, all they care about is what money they can earn...
Woohooo ...... Got the game on straight cable here .Woooooonnnnndddddeeerrrbbbbaaaarrrr.....As happy as I am with Guidolin delivering us a win against Everton , I'm desperate to see a good performance win against West Ham and if it's not to much to ask ..... Andy Carroll walking off the pitch at the end a bit dejected and with a black eye would be PERFECT all round .
Just been confirmed on the BBC news that Guidolin has confirmed that Williams will not play in our last 2 games.
Lawro predicts a 2-0 defeat.... "Swansea are a funny team - they were well beaten by a Newcastle side that was struggling to win an argument at the time, then rolled over and shipped four goals against Leicester but, a week later, they played really well to beat Liverpool. The Swans basically went from abysmal to excellent in the space of a week, and they will need to be at their best against West Ham. I have been really impressed by the Hammers of late and they are back in the race for fourth place, especially because they play Manchester United in their last game at the Boleyn Ground on Tuesday. Lawro's prediction: 2-0" Just to demonstrate Lawro's startling forecasting prowess, this would be the table after 36 matches this season, with Newcastle 10 points ahead of us, and Leicester sitting in 12th position, just below Newcastle............ +/- DENOTE POSITION DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LAWRO'S TABLE AND REAL TABLE POS TEAM P W D L PTS +/- 1 Man City 36 28 7 1 91 +3 2 Arsenal 36 25 11 0 86 +1 3 Chelsea 35 22 10 3 76 +6 4 Liverpool 35 18 16 1 70 +4 5 Tottenham 36 18 12 6 65 -3 6 Southampton 36 19 3 14 60 +1 7 West Brom 36 17 9 10 60 +7 8 Man Utd 35 14 14 7 56 -3 9 Crystal Palace 36 14 8 14 50 +7 10 Everton 35 12 11 12 47 +1 11 Newcastle 36 11 9 16 42 +6 12 Leicester 36 9 13 14 40 -11 13 Bournemouth 36 10 8 18 38 +2 14 Stoke 36 10 7 19 37 -4 15 Norwich 35 11 3 21 36 +4 16 Swansea 36 6 14 16 32 -3 17 Sunderland 35 6 13 16 31 +1 18 West Ham 35 7 8 20 29 -12 19 Watford 35 5 8 22 23 -7 20 Aston Villa 36 1 3 32 6 0
To be fair Taff I'm not sure many would have predicted the way this season has turned out. 2-0 on Saturday may be about right.
Agreed Kiff, but Lawro gets a chance to address this every single week of the season and has seemingly failed to recognise, for example Leicester's achievements etc
Well then , how about... "...............................................................Fab .Naughton .........................Fernandez ........................Amat ...............................Bartley ..................................................Ki ............................Britton Barrow ........................................................Cork ..........................................................Routledge ....................................................................Ayew This should give Carroll a run for his money and help with the set pieces also .....just a thought .revised , we have a lot of injuries Williams , Taylor , Palschi , Siggy , Montero and Fer all out I think
Siggy out of the game through injury, believe shoulder and don't think he will be available for the Man City game either. Taylor also out, so I am hoping he will give Kingsley a go, but wouldn't be surprised if he plays Naughton at LB.
hopefully you won't turn up tomorrow and get an embarassing tonking, then, next week, the players will play for pride and take something from Citeh. then all the hammers have to do is turn Man U over at UP and finish off stoke and we're Champions league
