While we became champions of England for the 18th time Chelsea were celebrating winning the Full Members Cup.

    And loving it.

There's another point I forgot to make: spend more and you expect more. It's the psychology of the modern fan. The likes of Benteke haven't been able to deal with it, which is a shame.

Yes and we've ****ed up time and time again with transfers, I hope Klopp also sorts this out.

i think in general the amount of thought put into the moves seems to be lacking and has been lacking for years

    joe cole... purslow.

hodgson.. ermm oh i know i'l buy the worst guys i've ever coached konchesky and poulsen

Rodgers... **** only knows.. the thought that he could buy half of southampton then get offered balotelli or e'tto and actually pick one.... ffs.

As of now every buy needs to be done with a great deal of thought and frankly if you are going ok X rejected me so y might be ok you've obviously not thought hard enough as your target would not be rejecting.

I'll say again about Klopp, before anyone gets too excited, his first contract business was to extend Migs' deal. I don't know whether to expect that we've resigned Enrique by the end of the summer. I mean, give the guy a chance, of course, but I gave up on messiahs sometime after Houllier.

It wouldn't all fit through his car window, apart from a slice of pizza hand kneaded by Mahrez from that team building exercise

The problem with our current system is that we aren't sure how much control or say Klopp has in contract renewals and signing players. Rodgers clearly got lumbered with a lot of players he didn't really rate and had to try shoehorn them into the side when they didn't really fit his system.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, the Liverpool manager should be fully in charge of decision making in regards to transfers, not some transfer panel with people like Werner & Ayre who have no idea about football and have no real responsibility if transfers don't work out.

"I'm very, very confident," Ranieri said. "Don't go. If you go another team, you might not get on the pitch."

I always find this comment sort of funny and a little desperate, Its the ultimate line to use when trying to keep hold of players. Pretty sure anyone buying Vardy, Mahrez or Kante would want them to play first team, they'd cost too much to leave out.
Even a club like Citeh would be slotting them straight into the first team, this is not a Delph situation who was clearly never good enough to get into the starting XI.

To be fair to Delph, he's actually played a lot more than I thought he would. Probably helps that city aren't that strong in CM.

Not really you spent big bucks on markovic (relative to your expenditure) and firmino only for rodgers to have them benched.

Modric wasnt playing too much when he first joined barca. Felipe luis was sitting on our bench as is baba rahman at 20m buys. Lvg has hardly touched herrera and barca dont ever use arda turan or vidal.

Most of those are either down to manager changes or because someone other than the manager bought the player.

Rodgers was also a nob when it came to players he didn't really want.

    Modric joined Real.

But I'll take the point about going to Chelsea or Citeh, no one should join either of those two clubs unless you absolutely guaranteed first team football, although Rahman is getting games now.

So the premier league pr machine will have you believe it's the best fairy tale ever but didn't Kaiserslautern get relegated promoted on the first attempt and win the league immediately after promotion?

It's been a brilliant achievement by Leicester butility it's been done before
