I've been run over by a speeding car, choked until I stopped breathing and my pulse stopped and I hit a telephone pole at 95mph.

That's enough near death experiences for me, I know I'm pushing my luck now.

    Oh ye of little faith.

I wont even mention 100ft ones with no safety. Just a sandbag on your shoulder and a glove on your hands.<laugh>

Its important to me too. I encourage my daughter to go swimming as much as possible. She loves it and has no fear of it and wants to go diving with me when she's older

Done the reverse bungee jump. Brilliant.
A controlled quarter mile drag car ride. Basically a flycatcher when the G force pulls ya face back and just ya teeth are bared.

One thing I couldn't/ wouldn't ever do is pot holing. The thought of getting stuck and not being able to move forward or backward just fills me with dread.

I'm terrified of flying, but went up in a two seater propeller driven aircraft and was given a go of flying it when I was up there..That was an experience I will not forget..

Basically it's a highrise assault course.
In my day it was built of wood, now it's more like scaffolding.
40' up & you had to jump gaps onto small see-saws & so forth.

Jumping was easy compared to that.
Attach static lines, red light, green light & go.
If you hesitated you were ****ed.

As for swimming and especially diving off high boards I used to have no fears whatsoever..However, when I was at an adventure break in the lakes last year, one of the adventures entailed jumping from a 10 metre high cliff into Lake Ulswater. I have to say that my bottle almost went which surprised me, but i did it in the end..

Nah. The pot holing is not for me.

Ive been forced to a limited experience of this ****. Never a ****ing gain.

Possibly my biggest phobia. Or spiders.

Sex on a (largish!) ledge halfway up a rock climb called "Lockwood's Chimney" in Snowdonia. The near death experience was finding our way back down in the dark!
