Over two legs they could only score once through keeper error at Boleyn Park.
Real solid gritty performance from City tonight-thought they would wilt in ET but kept on going against a taller slicker but no better WHU.
Think we'll be moaning at some of the WHU larkers on telly in a couple of years. Glove wearing, showboating spivs who soon lost their air of superiority once City started getting into em. Their Swiss keeper in particular was full of himself and gamesmanship.

Decent game, the lads did well.

Oxford and Samuelson will go on to be top players, though I suspect Oxford knows it and acts like a cock as a consequence.

Good turn out. Lads did well. Tymon took a nasty tumble on the back of his head/neck but good to see he carried on.

The Academy of Football has about 50 years' start on us and a huge catchment area. Despite that they never dominated us despite their height advantage.
They celebrated at the end like they'd won the Cup Final.

    In fact they had......

Kempton returns to City <cheers> For one night only though folks.

I probably sat next to all of you at some point, I moved seat so many times.

I enjoyed the game and it was great to be back. When we scored...well it felt so ****ing good, I'll admit there might have been a tear in my eye.

It was a great effort from our young uns. I had a bad feeling about the pens as the spammers keeper was at least 7 ft, the lanky **** him.

    It was emotional x

Great effort and togetherness shown by our lads I thought and I'm glad they at least won in the 90 minutes. Max Clark was excellent in the middle of the park, Harvey Rodgers looked good at centre half and Ben Hinchcliffe caused their centre halves a few problems. Ehab was at the game tonight, but I'm glad it was just about watching a game of football...I'd almost forgotten what that was like

Boycotting the membership scheme - solidarity with the "Olympic Stadium Gladiators", not the Hull "Lions". :emoticon-0100-smile

    enjoyable evening out
Started with more membership scheme angst when it turned out that if City's first team aren't playing you have to pay to join William Gemnel. £3 joining fee, but having to actually fill a form in which was the clincher for us lazy boozers...so Three Crowns it was
Good to see the stand full for the young uns, ruining Chazz's quiet evening out!
City played well I thought against a team that looked physically bigger and obviously had some decent players. Grew into it second half and I thought we'd nick it in ET. Clark looked very good
Great to see loads of kids there, particularly the groups of little mates chasing around on their own. Exactly the groups that you'd want to encourage to come together to the KC for first team matches, because they'd be still coming together into their middle age...crazy idea though.

Oxford clearly was the most talented player on the pitch, I thought he acted really well after they won on pens as well. Before he went and celebrated him and the other centre half shook hands with all our lads and coaches.

Enjoyed the game, Clark was very good in midfield, as was the centre half (assume that's Rodgers).

We were excellent. Loved the way our strikers harried them constantly, if the first team strikers did that we'd be a much better side.

They had three clear red card offences ignored by the ref. He seemed to be trying way too hard to not send anyone off when it really shouldn't have been a choice. Number 10 blatantly booted Lenihan. When you think back to Ramirez last season, or Rooney/Beckham's little taps at world cups, it sticks in the throat that those decisions always go against you. This lad just clearly booted him as he lay on the floor.

The goal was brilliant, everyone went mental. That Oxford as OLM said is a nutter. He went absolutely crazy at the linesman right at the end of ET because a steward threw the ball back onto the pitch but to no one. What's the linesman gonna do book him?

I thought Daniel Batty was really good when he came on. Shame he missed the decisive penalty.

3,000 odd turned up last night with **** all marketing by the club and it was an U21 game. Loads of kids. But it was free so they could all afford to go. We should.be bending over backwards to get all those kids in for the long term but the club just aren't interested.

Commiserations City. The lads should be proud of themselves, they gave it a real good go.

Losing on penalties is just unlucky.

Great to see so many homegrown lads in the team & hope they can progress further in their careers.

Was nice to see a few crunching tackles & pressing from players in black and amber shirts - something we haven't seen too often at the KC
    in recent seasons.

Max Clark's stint at Cambridge has done him the world of good - he's matured into a good CM

And one last word about West Ham's no. 9 Samuelsson. He's got the tekkers but he's a right greeeeeeeeedy bastard.

If we don't go up Samuelsen would be a good loan signing.

Great to see some turnstile operators again last night.

Presumably they can be trusted not to nick owt cos there was no cash transactions, or their min wage rate was affordable after all.....

One of the ****ers wouldn't let me sit in my normal seat last night, because I didn't have my pass to prove I was a corporate member (we weren't told to bring our passes), this despite the fact that my seat's got my ****ing name on it. <doh>
