Talk about threads going off topic, this is more like chinese whispers than Chinese takeover. Constipation and carling black label eh? Drink 6 pints of carling and you won't need the all bran. That's my advice.
Whoa !!! Pal. Real ale, craft and keg ale. Throw in a bit of Spiced Rum ( Gin if preference ) and the worlds all tickety boo. Ps and the odd cider. Ps Ps No Lager.
Depends whether you are talking about the gas filled lager we have here or lager-bier as in Germany. Compare a pint of Belgian Stella to the gassy, chemical laden travesty sold here as well. Some keg beers were the most revolting .i have ever had. Also, it is worth noting that the majority of lager brewed in this country are technically keg ales. Cider, love the proper draught ciders you get in Somerset, Devon, Hampshire. Not the crap on draught up here though. If you are drinking rum, get the best. Pussers. 140proof.
On a different forum Fez, I mentioned ***e, straight up and serious someone replied 'sorry mate, but what's a woman's ***e got to do with it?'
Yes you cant beat the German Bier. Also some Keg beers are ****e. As for that Rum !!! Not sure sounds a bit lethal to me, Dennis is the man for that i think. Yes some nice ciders down there i had Rattler last time down there , you dont need many of them.
Nothing wrong with a good lager at all. No need for beer snobbery, as a former real ale landlord I can tell you it's a ****'s trick.
That rum is lethal. Especially as it is so smooth, no bite like you may expect from something that strong, it is like liquid nectar slowly going down so you can end up drinking more than you may have intended. One of nicest ciders I have had is one I had which is brewed in the Cotswolds. Called No Brainer it is 6.8%. The name refers to it being a no Brainer drinking it because it is the best not the strength. Wish they sold it in pubs here, though you can buy it online.
True. But that is a good, proper lager. Which a lot of the ones brewed here and the ones brewed under licence which bear no relation to the proper ones are not.
Im going to use that quote in my job application for tigerscanada! Pussers is lovely, scarily easy to drink. Navy boy's drink going by the chaps I've drunk it with? I didn't think it was 140 proof though, although the 'proof' bit always seems vague. It's a strong one though, probably over 50% alc compared to 40% for other rum I'm just having a cheeky Heineken now to warm up for the Under 21's later, although when I'm out out I'll be on the real ale (Guinness in the stadium)
Yeah, if it's alcoholic, I'll drink it, doesn't matter exactly what it is. Even if it'll probably kill me. Though recently I've been on a bit of a cider buzz. Probably the nice weather.
My dad always used to have some in, as well as Lamb's Navy Rum, as he was in the navy in the war. Pussers was the rum used for the tot. He carried on getting a bottle every now and then after the navy stopped issuing the rum ration but the only way you could get it was through someone with navy connections. Then someone bought up the rights to make it and you can buy it though you don't see it that much. Only seen it in two places round my way. One of them a poshish hotel where after discovering they sold it late one night I later received a message that I was not to darken their doors again in the foreseeable future. Still don't know why. Link about it if you are interested. A pint a day was the ration, doubled before a battle. The mind boggles. Wouldn't have liked to get into a drinking competition with those guys. http://www.pussers.com/t-rum.aspx
A boozer and an alcoholic are very similar. The main difference being, us boozers don't have to go to those silly meetings.
