At Madrid knocking out another CL favorites ..and again with far less possession.. they did same facing even in la liga facing lower sides letting them have the ball but hurting them when it mattered the similarity to Leicester poor possession stats is not a coincidence.. no wonder why Arsenal never win titles since years .. and no wonder why we struggled with LVG, with team happy to pass ball around .. the only who saved his face this season is Martial with his runs breaking up this stupid boring passing system
my apology .. normally i double check before posting .. but GF was bombarding me with texts on viber .. so my bad
Yup, he previously has been in leagues where he had a 50% chance of winning the league by default. Seriously, winning La Liga with Barca and winning the Bundesliga with Bayern are not exactly achievements. Its expected every season. Next year we could see United, City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Leicester, Spurs AND Liverpool all challenge. They probably wont ALL challenge, but its certainly possible for any or all of those clubs to challenge. Which other top European football league can claim the same level of competitiveness?
That's without mentioning how competitive the likes of West Ham, Southampton and Swansea can be either. That all said, Liverpool WON'T challenge!
Fair enough. But yeah, West Ham have been pretty tidy this season aswell. Southampton can bring it when they want. It's crazy how competitive this league is becoming, and I love it. You can stick ya La Liga's up ya arse! Always said its the SPL on steroids.
While Pep is clearly a better manager than LVG, we can all see how difficult the dutch quiff found adjusting to the premier league playing a particular brand of football. The only difference with Pep is that he'll confidentally play the game at tempo, but despite that I think without the players he's had the luxury of at previous 2 clubs, he'll struggle. So somebody will now say, City can buy any player, but the difference at Barca and Bayern that often gets missed is the core of home talent (spanish and german respectively) that was present at each club.
City getting battered up and down the Bernabeu. It's all set up for a last minute equaliser off Sterling's arse...
City again not turning up tor their biggest match of the season. Toure playing like the finished player he is. No shots on goal, no assists, no key passes. With Kompany out, LVG will not have a better chance to get 4th place if city stumbles. I am a ****ing Wenger fan for a day!
I watched it and thought Liverpool played very well. There's no doubt Klopp is a quality manager, I will never understand why Astro thinks he's so ****. The final should be interesting. If it was at Anfield I think you'd swamp them. Playing in a crappy little ground will be a leveller.
Aye, can't deny Liverpool were superior in pretty much every position. Although Villarreal just didn't turn up, they played like City in the Bernabeu. Hard to believe a team wouldn't be up for a game like that, although we managed the same a few weeks back. Maybe the battle for top four in Spain took it out of them, or they just bottled it after the OG. Will be interesting to see how it goes on neutral ground, and a big challenge for Liverpool against a side unbeaten in four EL finals. Although I disagree with you on your last point Stan. Liverpool have plenty of experience playing in a crappy little ground (Just for you Sky )
Swarbs we are also unbeaten in this competitions finals. Played 3 won 3. If we beat them then we'll become the most successful team (joint).
