Although this thread is titled "The Daily Arsenal", it is also a tribute to the musings of Adrian Durham so I thought the below might be of interest.

Disgraceful Tottenham looked like a bunch of drunks at Stamford Bridge - they got exactly what they deserved
    By Adrian Durham

Spurs looked like a bunch of drunks at Stamford Bridge. It looked like they turned up after a day out on the Bank Holiday lash, launching into Sunday pub football style fouls and butchery disgracing he name of Tottenham Hotspur.

Yes Spurs have done well this season, but that Spurs side at Chelsea was so unprofessional they reminded me of Gazza in the 1991 FA Cup final, who was stretchered off before he was sent off.

Eden Hazard's brilliant finish was a poke in the eye for Spurs, who responded with the filthiest 10 minutes of the season so far.

Tottenham, famous for so long for delivering wonderful football, turned into a team of thugs – they kept up with the Vinnie Joneses.

Thank God Dele Alli wasn't playing because the young tearaway would have got himself properly involved in the mix. Who knows what kind of ban he would have ended up with if he'd been let loose on that brawl.

And Michel Vorm got involved after the final whistle, just in case anyone had forgotten he was at Spurs. He's the reserve keeper in case you're wondering.

And make no mistake, Spurs have failed this season. Yes better than they have been in the past. Yes they may still finish above Arsenal – not guaranteed yet of course. And yes there is reason to be positive about the future. Small consolation. This could be Spurs' best chance gone, and they should be focused on making sure that doesn't happen.

Here's the harsh reality for Spurs: they finished below Leicester. Imagine what Spurs fans would say if you'd suggested that at the start of the season.

A manager who was a total and utter flop with the Greece national team arrived at Leicester and won the title in his first season at a club with no hope of ever winning it. That puts Pochettino's 'achievement' this season into perspective.

It's classic Spurs: they've cornered the market when it comes to dressing up heroic failure as success. They've taken it to the extreme this season, and topped it off by becoming an 11-man UFC team at Chelsea, although quite how they kept 11 men on the field is anyone's guess.

After Hazard equalised, Spurs needed to attack. They physically attacked the Chelsea players, and forgot to attack the Chelsea goal – they got nowhere near it.

Nine bookings, there could easily have been 2 possibly 3 red cards, and the manager jumped onto the pitch to get into the mix.

Spurs were a disgrace. They got what they deserved in the title race. They looked like a pub team in the second half at Stamford Bridge.

What a remarkable diatribe you have posted.

Durham wrote that sh1t because he's a ginger tosser who is paid to stoke the flames for his laughably bad radio show, with lame-brain Gough. But you posted that to impress Pixie, whose arsehole has been permanently plugged with your nose for several months, now.

What's laughable, of course, is that if Spurs had not met Chelsea's dirty tactics and little provocations with aggression, Durham would accused us of rolling over.

I particularly love the bit where the ginger ponce says, "Here's the harsh reality for Spurs: they finished below Leicester. Imagine what Spurs fans would say if you'd suggested that at the start of the season."

Hm. Let's try that same sentence a few times with one little word changed...

Here's the harsh reality for United: they finished below Leicester. Imagine what United fans would say if you'd suggested that at the start of the season.

    Or...

Here's the harsh reality for Arsenal: they finished below Leicester. Imagine what Arsenal fans would say if you'd suggested that at the start of the season.

    Or, how about...

Here's the harsh reality for Chelsea: they finished below Leicester. Imagine what Chelsea fans would say if you'd suggested that at the start of the season.

But, of course, you already know this, Stan. So, come on, mate! Pull that nose out of Pixie's rectum.

  6. tbf, I have always seen Durham for the tosser he is - there are several posts of mine that are testament to that statement, and a thread that I started, in which I slate quite a few of the TalkSh1te presenters, including Durham.

I borrowed his "Daily Arsenal" for the title of this thread merely because it is widely recognised as a reputable and constructive critique of Wenger and Arsenal, in general.

Bollocks have you. You had your tongue firmly planted in durham's hoop when he was having a pop at Arsenal.

Typical HIAG really, loves to dish it out, but cries like a pussy when it comes back at him.

  11. So, the last voice of reason on the Gooner board has been silenced?

I think we should hold a vigil.

Has Arsenal87 been banned from the gooner board <laugh>

I expect a 90% fall in board activity, the remaining 10% being primarily fuelled by Cini65 until he gets banned from an epic meltdown precisely 12 months from now!

Banned him for being hell bent on his opinion like others are on theirs.

I hope A87 comes onto the PL board a bit more.
