Of course not, and I know when football was invented, but I am sick and tired of all the old excuses as to why we've failed to win the title these 27 years. I also know that throwing money at the problem hasn't worked, either. I know we've won the CL, UEFA, FA and League cups but those achievements have been spread out, and come on, we all know what it is we aspire to winning really.

My point is the Premier League has been set up to attract big 'class' money players and when you get them - even if some of them look twice at us - what do we get? Lazy arsed egos who can't be bothered. You get about 1 in 4 who actually turn out to be something. Why do they cost so much? Because clubs, mainly overseas, see us bloody coming. I saw on Twitter the other day we're after someone in the summer and how much do the club want? £58 million!

 

I can use it as an excuse when we keep spending it on flops.

The massive hike in TV cash in recent years has levelled the playing field somewhat.

The biggest clubs can still spend the most, but the supposed 'lesser' clubs can now afford players of a quality that would have been impossible a decade ago.

Throwing the most cash at it, should still equate to being at the top table, but now there's no guarantee, as the overall league quality has improved significantly.

What Leicester have done is remind the entire industry that anything is possible if you work hard enough and have a proper team, as opposed to a collection of half arsed mercenaries
