Way too many in one window that. You'd be repeating the same mistake - yet again.....

3 or 4 - but of a calibre. With a similar number being shipped out.

Arsenal were the only club in Europe not to buy an outfield player.

Wenger being a stubborn **** again cost them

They should have won the league this season, and if he'd have brought in the striker, DM and CB that everyone could see they were crying out for, they probably would have done.

Schlupp has always been a wingback/lb/winger. In pearsons season he sometimes played left wing and sometimes left back. This seasons hes been primarily a left back and he suffered a big injury and he obviously wasn't getting back into the team after leicester phenomenal run. He is very athletic and direct though and can become a beast i think. His decision making and the mental side of things lets him down currently but he can still develop.

I think Leicester's achievement will pile immense pressure on Klopp for next season. You diss the issue re: money on players spent but I'm sorry it is a factor because frankly by and large we haven't bought 'class' players we've bought egos, and that's true of most big money spends in this stupid bloody league for us and other clubs. We've been brainwashed into thinking we have to spend big to compete: it might have worked for Chelsea, City (in the past) but where's it got us? Not very far in 27 years apart from two lousy second places and a handful of trophies. Good trophies, but not the Premier League!

We have to learn from Leicester; we have to. It's no good saying oh well it'll be different next season when they're juggling the Prem with CL and the cups, it's this season where we have to look at ourselves in the mirror. The bottom line is a rank outsider has done what we've failed to do: they've won the Premier League!

The excuses of players not gelling, it's not his team yada yada yada they have to end and they have to end now!

Half of our players have been those egos. I want them gone in the summer.

If it's ten players, it won't be ten first teamers. It would be three or four first teamers with the rest as either backup or youth players.

I'm not guessing how many though. It could easily be a lot more or a lot less than ten <laugh>

Yeah.. i think klopp will make a lot of switches

I think wards has done himself no harm at all so far.

    So:

GK: mingolet and ward will stay. Bogdan will leave. not sure about a keeper coming.
RB: Flanagan will stay, he's contracted and club trained. Cyne will stay
LB: Anyhting could happen. smith will go but after that we could see more moves
CB: Gomez, matip lovern.. add matip.. I can see one more in and skertl and toure and shako all going.
CM: MASSIVE CHANGES. Can will remain, after that who knows. We need prob 4/5 for this areas
AM: Coutinho, lallana, firmino. I'd still expect more here. but who? Ibe has done himself no favours
ST: need 3/4 ings will stay, no takers there. Origi looks central to klopp. reast.. all could change

I can see us by GK, CBx2, LBx2, CMx3, AM, ST that makes the 10.... maybe unlikely but it could happen.

Apart from a handful worth bothering further with - Allen, Coutinho (IF he wants to stay), Sturridge (IF his ego allows), Lovren (OK so he's improved), Origi (asset), Ings (been injured so God knows), Firmino (asset), Ojo (perhaps) I can't really think of anyone else worth tuppence.

Skrtel can frankly go and boil his head; so can Mignolet.

And for what we paid for some of them: Lallana, Benteke, Henderson, Balotelli (did we sell him or what?)...can just sod the hell off!

I can certainly see more players leaving than players arriving tbh.

CM is the big area as you say but Klopp also likes to build teams from the back so the defence / keeper will be first.

He might not touch the attack but that really depends on Studge. IMO, Studge will go meaning we will see an arrival. Just one though. I think Klopp will be happy with Origi, Ings, Firmino and one other.

I'd like to think keeper is first but we need to see it. THeres a long time since mingolet got that contract for him to change his mind and do it..

I think another CB is a must and LB so thats 3/4 of a back line changed when matip finally signs after that medical.. formally... 1st july...

CM then becomes key cos it half the battle defensively, the sceen... Can might stay but i could see 3 changes. zeilinski is one.

After that up top.. well... he might not touch it you are right.. he might just add one more.. teixteria was a call in january so why would nhe not have the same need?

Very happy to see Leicester win the league. But I can't stand Gary Linekar bleating on about it at every opportunity - even during the build up to tonights CL match!

Leicester will expect to receive a lot of cash this summer (even before finishing first!) - they need to invest in that squad because a) they'll be playing more games and b) there is no way they will have a similar season in terms of injuries because this was a freak.

In terms of LFC - I would not be upset if we spent all our money on GK, defence and midfield. Attack is not a priority anymore - we've been scoring quite a few this year.

New GK with Migs relegated to bench. Big priority.

A starting RB to compete with Clyne - not a priority, or even a quality back up because Randall and FLanno aren't good enough.

Same with left back. Ideally someone who can displace Moreno, but a quality back up would still be good.

A RCB to partner Sakho/Matip. And develop Joe Gomez there as well. Big priority.

A DM to provide cover for Can. Priority.

A midfield scheme/playmaker to play alongside Can.

Personally I'm delighted for them. Not really even thought about us.

In reality it changes nothing and we go on looking for another title so there is no harm in enjoying Leicester's triumph and moment in the sun in what is a historic sporting achievement.

I have become numb to the failure we've endured in the last 20-30 years and look simply for improvement and remain hopeful that one day we might be champions again!

But that time is not now! So fair play Leicester.

We get back on the horse...

It is great for Leicester, but yes, it is frustrating for us to watch too.

I think what Ranieri and Leicester have shown us is that to be successful in this league you don't have to overcomplicate things tactically. We have spent too many years under Houllier, Benitez, Rodgers etc. getting bogged down with what the opposition are going to do and how to stop them. I think on the pitch a perfect example of one of the differences between us and Leicester this season is how far up Moreno was when Villarreal scored, does that happen to Leicester? You can't imagine Fuchs or Simpson getting caught out of position so badly during a game. Maybe they won't score a goal like Moreno did Vs Spurs, but they aren't in the team to do that, sometimes I think we forget that primarily full backs are there to defend.

You can't really be happy for them without the comparison, though, tbf, otherwise, you become resigned to the idea that we'll never win the damn thing again. If I'm honest, I'm not sure we will. I don't have a crystal ball. I wonder if our day is done, but I'm by no means resigned to it.

I tell you what is not acceptable, though: fans dismissing the defeat to Swansea like it was nothing just because we have a Europa League tie coming up, when there's no guarantee we'll even go through to the final. In Paisley's day that would have been unheard of. What happened to bloody well striving to win end of?

We've won that title 18 times. 26 years is a shockingly long time without it, for sure, but it's bit like saying we have never won the FA cup because we haven't won it under it's current sponsor or since they started playing semis at Wembley.

It's annoying considering that we've had 80+ points on (I think) 4 occasions in since 2000 and never won and yet Leicester have won with 77 - potentially 83. This season really has come together perfectly for them with United, Chelsea and City all doing far worse than expected, Arsenal collapsing as ever and us not even close to the running. Their only competition have been Spuds who aren't exactly top class either. They had good fortune with injuries and very few games to play over the whole season. Lots of fortune to take advantage of - but they did where others have failed in the past.

It's not too dissimilar to our season 2 years ago when we came second. So much went our way, but in the end we bottled it whereas Leicester have kept their heads throughout. For me, the big credit is their mental state to which they approached every game and remained consistent.

I don't see them being close next season, but why is that such a bad thing? They've had an incredible season and rightly will be remembered for it. I certainly wouldn't be complaining if I were a Leicester fan but ended up just top half the following season! I just think, PL winners or not, the pull for big players isn't there, gems like Mahrez don't come around every day and even a year ago he looked bang average so who could have predicted what he'd accomplish, others like Kante will be off to a big team, lots of extra games to juggle and a bigger squad...just lots going against them.

    But my God I'm jealous!

We won the old English League Division 1: this is the Premier League, a totally different ball game. You know it, I know it, we all know it. We can't keep hiding behind it. We've been able to stay in it, but we haven't been able to compete in it

Premier League or Division One, it's the same thing, just a different name.

No, it isn't. Too much money has come into it, the wages are too high and clubs have almost gone to the wall because of it. We nearly did ourselves. It's no longer a working man's game, it's a lottery.
