Now seriously.. Does it seem a little odd to you that of all those companies involved your main stand sponsor was drawn out for the home shirts and shorts??
I can see what you are saying. Im not being biased but no, its not odd to me. Its all done fair and square. Personally, I have seen it done in front of my eyes but Ihave been told the unpicked tickets get opened up at the end to show everyones ticket (or ball or whatever gets taken out) is all in there. Dribuild obviously were 1 of the few companies who got more than 1 ticket. Hopefully this will convince the other companies to buy more than 1 ticket next time as this is proof that you could be picked more than once. Fair shout to them. The company who was picked out 5th this time (office beverages) was a shirt sponor last season for our away kit! So they been picked 2 seasons running!
As if you used all of them before anyway! Do you not drink Thatchers, Heineken, Any of the Butcombes, St Austell IPA, Trelawny, Cornish Best, Tribute, Proper Job or Korev??
Yes, as you say was in hindsight... one of the best A few of us said soon after we got relegated that it could be a blessing. We got rid of the deadwood who may have stayed put if we had survived. Due to wage budget getting slashed due to relegation, we got players in who wanted to play for the shirt and fight for the club and not players who we would have signed who just wanted silly money that we were giving away for wages. Also Wael has said he was convinced we were the club to buy after the play off final. If we didnt get relegated, we may still have Higgs now! As you say, hindsight has proved that getting relegated was the best thing to happen to us. Truely a day to celebrate. Thanks Banksy
Agree. Best thing to happen to BRFC, made us a lot stronger football club and has moved us in the right direction.....
Yes, it has made us a lot stronger, not just the club but us fans too. We have a new found respect to those clubs in non league. especially to the fans of those teams who were football league clubs and just cant get back up. Cant believe Tranmere is down there and failed to make the play offs. The character we showed to bounce straight back up was fantastic and as a result we look stronger than ever in my eyes. And hopefully news to come soon as well with UWE. It really is happy days - regardless if we fail to go up this season. And I doubt that the above would have happened if we survived on the 3rd of May 2 years ago and I doubt we would have got Wael on board either. So cheers to the 3rd of May
I would imagine thats what its like being a City fan, in both positions, having the **** and being under the ****
