War for the North. Bolton, Manderly and Karstark vs Stark, Umber and Mormont (with the Nightswatch and Wildlings)
What about Littlefinger/Robyn Arryn? Surely they will be involved with Sansa and the army Littlefinger has assembled. Plus I'm pretty sure in the latest episode Umbers were mentioned as being on the Bolton side.
Littlefinger is over i nthe vale.. so... i dunno. I think river run will see a lannister battle so we will see. What ramsey said was we don't need all the houses. the umber, mormonts, and karstarks have more forces than the rest combined... therefore you'd have to expect jon snow to have to start with someone to build a force. the wildlings are one thing but then you need more. the karstarks said clealry they are done with starks so for me that puts them squarely on the receiving end of the fresh blood from the wildlings.
Since they're harbouring the youngest Stark (at least were) and Great John (head of the house) was very much a Robb Stark supporter and Umber were forced pledge to Bolton, I think they'll side with any Stark. They do in the books as well, also in the Books half the house joined with Stannis to oust the Boltons I believe Ramsay was mentioning the Houses they needed to hold the North, rather than the Houses that were in full support of them. I also think that with Ramsay now head of the Bolton's, support will fall away from them, except Karstark I don't see the Vale getting involved, Littlefinger is too clever to join any civil war, wait till see what happens is more his style.
Sansa will rally the Vale. They wanted to fight with Robb but Catleyns sister refused. Sansa will merge the Knights of the Vale with Jons armies and the Wildlings imo.
The lords of the Vale, don't like him. Once they realise that Jon Stark-Targareyn is waging war in the North and should Sansa go asking for their help, don't forget Eddard Stark so John Arryn as a father, they'll rally to her side.
Don't see that happening, the Vale hold nothing for Sansa (other than respect maybe) and there is no way Littlefinger will enter a war with an unclear outcome and he hold sway over Robyn. The Vale only wanted to join Robb as reason to fight Lannisters, Bolton's would be a different matter. Also I seem to remember in the S6 trailer, the Umbers had lined up with the Wildlings to fight the Bolton army. Depends which way Sansa goes and whether the writers are going to follow the Harry story.
The Boltons killed her mother whose sister is from the Vale. The banner men respected Catelyn Tulley/Stark. They'll want revenge imo. Edit :
They will clearly be battling against someone. If you're trying to tell me they spent all of that time talking up Littlefinger building an army in the vale, training Robyn Arryn, having the noblemen expressing their regret at sitting back in the shadows for too long just for them to do ust that then basically you're saying they wasted about 2 hrs of screen-time last series, which just isn't going to happen. Plus it isn't in Littlefinger's character to sit back and hold what he has, the quote "So many men, they risk so little. They spend their whole lives avoiding danger, and then they die. I'd risk everything to get what I want." sums up his character and why they won't be sitting back.
This might sound a little bit IBWT.... I'm watching 'The Affair' Very good so far. Got Dominic West and Rawls (both from The Wire) in it. Slightly awkward topic to watch with the Mrs (nm). However, we're both enjoying it. Up to S1 E06.
Anyone on here watch Masterchef? I consider myself an amateur Cook in learning. Love trying new recipes and can pretty much do high end stuff off script but wouldn't dream of "creating" dishes. Best I can do is more basic dishes inspired by stuff I've done from recipe by real cooks. Can now do the chef basics ....sauces...etc...
