I wouldn't wish it on them, but it has almost been a 'perfect storm' of a season. It gives average teams hope of top ten finishes, I simply can't ever see another 'Leicester' finishing top of the pile. Normal service resumed next season when the elite will spend obscene amounts of cash. Reminds me of the film Moneyball where Billy Beane assembled a team based (Oakland Athletics) on statistical analysis to compete with the filthy rich clubs - based on a true story. I read somewhere that Leicester used a lot of statistical analysis to sign most of their players. Albrighton for example at Villa provided as many assists based on minutes on the pitch as some of the elite clubs top players.
It does make you wonder what Hunter's scouts actually do. There was so little credit for Steve Walsh and his team within the media circus today but I understand that's how he likes it.
That's exactly what most of the ****s are. I should have taken some screen shots of my facebook feed last night, I had to go off it before I got in a few big rows
There isn't a single shirt left in the Leicester club shop, in fact there's barely anything at all left in their club shop.
Great for Leicester but it just makes me even sadder to see what a mighty cock up our season has become. We should be celebrating being top of our league, we have the squad, but sadly they were badly managed.
Eh? What the **** are you on about? What's miserable - if that's what you're suggesting - about me thinking a team might be relegated? Who do you think will get relegated from the Premier League with Villa this season? Well whoever it is - **** me, I bet you're the life and soul of a party.
Don't think so. Depending on the CL draw they might not progress through the group stages. They won't become crap overnight and will no doubt finish in top half of the PL.
I'm not a bookmaker thanks but I honestly don't see Leicester finishing below the likes of Watford, Bournemouth, Swansea, Burnley Boro/Brighton or whoever goes up in the play offs - nor beneath whichever team manages to survive the 3 way scrap to avoid relegation this time around.
Fair enough but this time last year you didnt honestly see them finishing above Chelsea, Hunter, Man Utd, Arsenal, Spurs.... .
