What was worrying is that is was the English players mainly losing their cool - I hope they don't do that in the Euros if things aren't going their way...
Might make the Euros more interesting though if they did start a ruckus. Otherwise strictly boring fare from Engerland no doubt. I will not be watching.
I think they should all be banned from the England squad after that - particularly Danny Rose who appeared to cause the ruckus in the tunnel as the teams were leaving the pitch. Utterly disgraceful.
I suggest that there were a few "ripe" Chelsea comments to the Spurs team at the final whistle which sent them over the top. Imagine if it had been L*t*n and us in that situation similar to the game at the end of the 68-69 season. Still no excuse though...
It's because he is British. The bad behaviour of British players gets slightly ignored by the pundits and commentators on the BBC & Sky. If that had been Costa dishing it out, there would be calls for questions in the House
Strange thing was most of it happened whilst Spurs were still in front ! could easily have had 4 or 5 sent off if Clattenburg had any cahunas !!
Bournemouth were handed a £7.6m fine for breaching Financial Fair Play rules after accruing huge losses last season en route to Premier League promotion. The Football League did not confirm the size of the penalty, but details of the fine - which has not yet been paid - were disclosed in the club's accounts, which show they made a £38.3m loss in winning the Championship in 2014-15. That was up from £10.3m the previous season, mainly because of staff wages, which rose to £30.4m, more than double the club's turnover of £12.9m.
True - Walker was lucky but the worse seemed to be Dembele poking Costa in the eye - as WY says if that had been Costa we'd be hearing about it for weeks on end! At the end they were just hacking players down and whilst no doubt the Chelsea players probably had a key role in the after match incident it did show that the pressure had got to them.
and yet, because of their form they could play in Europe next season due to 'fair play'! It's a joke!
I don't think UEFA has a spot in Europe based on the Fair play stuff anymore - just a financial reward.
http://www.theguardian.com/football...ball-league-financial-fair-play-investigation I wonder if this will throw a spanner into Leicester's works...
I'm watching the National League play-off between Dover and Forest Green. Not the best game of football I've ever seen but Forest Green have just scored a great goal, with the ball being curled into the top corner from 20 yards of so.
Maybe explains why they are making the change in management.. Just seemed to lack the confidence to attack more - because Kompany went off perhaps? Mind you "Pep" has lost in the Champions league semi 3 times in a row now!
