Still very angry about Clatterf**k ruining what should have been a good game in itself.
Chelsky doing what they did, well no surprises there eh.

I am awaiting the appearance of Spurcat (I assume he was there) , and his comments on the game
and what the media will be saying about Spurs ... :)

That aside, the points gap was too big for too long for this squad to overhaul it.
The pressure of playing last for the recent N weeks just made it worse.

Still, the things that don't kill you will only make you stronger.
A lot of room for improvement in this squad, but we have the summer to discuss that.

Getting the 2 pts that guarantees CL group stage is now the remaining unfinished business.

    It isn't.
Hypothetically Citeh and the Goons could finish on 70 pts with Spurs, and with a better GD.

Thought we played great football for most of the game, which was good to see.

The stuff off the ball and between times was awful though and I think the players let themselves down. Provoked or not they lost their heads on several ocassions and that can't happen. Pochettino needs to have a long talk with them and get the lads in the right mindset for the last 2 games. This kind of stuff can't happen again.

Clattenburg was awful, hopefully Premier League refs will now look at their "game management" of not giving out cards at the beginning of games. If it's a booking it's a booking no matter when it happens, it's not the first game that has turned into a farce because of it.

The negative stuff towards the ref surprises me. We could have been left with 8 men on the pitch...

Mixed emotions as right from the off you could tell that all the Chelsea players mouthing off in the media got to our guys. It was in their game plan to rile us but they didn't need to... From Walkers first kick on Pedro the tone was set. It's a weird mixture of pride that they were fighting for us and annoyance at the naivety of playing straight into Chelsea's hands. They didn't have an answer to us in footballing terms in the first half. Without Walker, Dembele and Dier it would have been a different outcome.

Would be hilarious if after the FA read the riot act to Spurs after yesterday, and with Woy putting his
oar in over the Vardy diving, all the Spurs players withdrew from the Euro 2016 squad on the basis
they believe that similar provocation and poor refereeing will cause the same thing again during the
    tournament. :D

Spurs AND Chelsky players could and should have gone before it got really nasty.
As I said yesterday, the ref is responsible for setting the tone. The 90 mins did not have to play out as it did.

And someone else has drawn the parallel for agent Webb at the 2010 WC final.
Ironic that in this era that someone like "Clive the book" would be perfect now.

The goons have 14 goals to make up in 2 games, City 9. With Arsenal v City to come. If Arsenal win, then City can't catch us, if it's a draw, City can't catch us and if City win, Arsenal will have more than 12+ goals (unless Southampton absolutely thrash us and so it is 9/10) to make up against Villa.

Someone has said it before, but I do think there was a lot of unnecessary heat added to last night's game by scheduling it a day and a half after Leicester's,. With it being a Bank Holiday too the whole crowd had been drinking all day creating a pretty toxic atmosphere. Hopefully the Premier League take a lesson from last night and stop allowing Sky to dictate the timing of important fixtures for the sake of their Monday Night Football project.

Well said. I've always been mystified that retaliation seems to be punished more than the original offence. Hardly creates an situation in which this kind of behaviour will stop does it.

It reminds me of a time I was at school where some guy just ran up behind me and kicked me, so I turned around and gave him a mouthful of the finest Anglo-Saxon, yet the teacher who was five feet away from the whole thing didn't do anything about the twat who kicked me but gave me a detention for swearing (which I didn't turn up to for that exact reason)

Funny how The FA remind me of the impotent ****wits who were running my school...

Having woken up with the taste of bile in my mouth despite not drinking a drop yesterday, I thought I'd begin this post with my thoughts about last night's battle royale and get a few things off my chest.

Hugo - Last night was an example of why a vocal, outfield captain is so vital at this level. As our most experienced player and captain, it really is down to Hugo to play a more active role in man management on the pitch. The problem is that he wasn't blessed with a Peter Schmeichel set of lungs and cannot fill this role effectively. Also needs to work very hard on his distribution as it is frankly Championship standard.

Kyle - Confirmed what we've known for a while. He only really flourishes with brilliant cover in front of him. He excelled with Lennon at RW and has been drastically improved this season, coinciding non-coincidentally with Lamela's huge strides in the right direction. I thought he had a good game overall, but panics far too easily without that cover and loses his head as a result. Was lucky to be on the pitch at FT.

Toby - Our only outfield player who played almost the whole game and escaped a booking, and with good reason. Cucumber cool throughout - this is a player who is so naturally class that the scum's antics simply didn't register on his radar. His only mistake all game was getting dragged out of position and consequently losing F*ckface Hazard's run for their equaliser. My choice for the armband next season without question.

Jan - Got wound up by Costa's dirty tricks too easily but overall, a solid performance. I've seen enough from him over the past few weeks to convince me that he is a superior defender to Big Kev, and I expect his partnership with Toby to flourish further next season.

Danny Boy - Running out of superlatives for this lad. Had the far harder job in the first half marking Willian, who has been Chelsea's best player this season and is in his own way a professional WUM. Rose coped admirably with his defensive duties. Consistently one of our best players going forward and is developing a real, tangible footballing intelligence (unlike his fellow FB).

Mousa - Disgraceful behaviour and an absolute let-down. One of the worst players on the pitch with numerous ambitious dribbles going wrong and leaving us stranded halfway up the pitch. As one of our older players, I was looking to the big man to lead by example and set the tone to calm things down but he did the exact opposite. Should be banned now for the rest of the season.

Dier - Had a great game but another whose attitude let him down. Head was completely gone in the second half and they were circumventing our two red-mist CM's far too easily. Should've been better positioned for their 1st and also very lucky to be on the pitch at FT.

Son - Delighted to have seen glimpses of his early-season twin brother who we had feared had gone AWOL permanently after his return from injury. Worked hard to win and retain possession, showed some nice movement and touches, reined-in his recent knack of dribbling down dead ends, and took his goal superbly. However, he really needs to work on the defensive side of his game.

Eriksen - Together with Toby, is probably our only player who has a naturally calm temperament and doesn't get wound up. Yet another perfect assist and generally worked hard to influence the game, which was made nigh impossible by the tw*t of a referee blowing the whistle every 3 seconds to give players 'a talking to'. Seriously needs to work on his set pieces as based on the current standard, we might as well give the ball back to the opposition for a goal kick. Appallingly bad.

Lamela - Worked his socks off and apart from being yet another who lost his head, had a really good game. I was worried when we lined up with him on the left, which is not his strongest position, but he proved me wrong and drifted across the channels all game making it impossible for them to pick him up. If only he had a right foot he'd be immense.

Kane - Took his goal delightfully well and overall a typical Kane-like performance. Worked himself into the ground, held the ball up superbly and was back in our box defending whenever needed. Also showed real class in his tweets immediately after the game. Worth a look for the armband next season.

    SUBS

Mason - Oh dear oh dear. Where do I begin? Just a shadow of a player since his return from injury. I thought Chadli or Njie for Son would've made much more sense, but I guess Poch's reasoning was that the game needed a fighter. Trouble is, Ryan has the look of a man who deep down knows 'At 25 years old, I just don't have the time to improve to the level where I'll be a regular starter for my beloved childhood club'. Completely anonymous apart from that glaring missed opportunity to work Begovic, similar to his lack of impact against WBA. It kills me to say it, but we can and must do much better than him in the market.

Davies - Considering the atmosphere when he came on, coupled with the fact that he replaced one of our best players. I thought he put in an impressive cameo.

Chadli - Should've come on as soon as they equalised - we had nothing to lose apart from a bit more pride. I'll never understand the timing of our substitutions, never.

To conclude, I have never felt hatred towards anything or anyone as much as I do towards Chelsea 'Football' Club and everyone associated with it.

Yes I thought that exactly. That's their code because they are the ****s who **** you about and then climb a high horse when you retaliate.

Let's ALL retaliate, if we did the bastards would have to think again.

The FA need an equivalent of "constructive" desertion/dismissal used in divorce/employment law.

I will continually state that the on-pitch captain must be either back four or MF.
Those positions naturally have most interaction with the rest of the team during a game,
which enables the commands to be issued for 90 mins.

GK and forwards do not (even though they can lift team-mates by their performances) .

The best reason I can come up with for keeping Mason for next season is that, with Carroll out of contract and Bentaleb likely to be sold this summer, keeping Mason around means we'll have one less midfielder to bed in during the early stages of the season.
