I think we can be somewhat grateful at least that Leicester's title win will keep our disciplinary showing off the back pages for the next few days.
Bottling the title implies we were in the lead like toon in 96, pool couple of years ago and united when city caught them. W Leicester have been top since January when they (and arsenal ) were 7 points clear...since then we have lost 1 match away to west ham...hardly bottling it imo. It's weird watching Arsenal fans claiming they were never serious contenders while accusing us of bottling it...guess some need to make themselves feel better. As for tonight ... we will get Dembele suspended for at least 3 matches and depending on what went on in the tunnel maybe a couple more. We really need to win one of our last 2 matches to stay second as the goons are guaranteed 3 points v Villa and will get something from the city match imo as city are playing midweek in CL. We lost our composure tonight which we need to learn from for next season. Well done to Leicester. .. must be a great feeling!
On the plus side, if we can sell the footage of Dembele blattering Diego Costa in the tunnel, the sales will likely fund the new stadium within a week.
I think you were up against it tonight despite the effort. In fairness everyone in the Country wanted Leicester to win the title because of the fairytale it produces. Think you guys have put your hearts into the effort and have nothing to be ashamed of. I also think it's great to see two clubs outside the usual suspects making the top four and the fact it's likely to be top two is even better. 9 bookings isn't bad either. Just hope they were all for kicking Costa.....(I don't like his coffee either).
Well, Leicester can relax but Spurs still have 2nd place to play for so there's still interest for us. I will say again that Spurs will be title contenders next season.
