Lamela had a whole football pitch to walk into and he walked 5 yards and directly onto Fabrega's hand who hadn't moved. He knew exactly what he was doing He'll prob get away with it as can't prove it was deliberate I think both teams were just as bad as each other in 1st half and ref tried to keep 11 on the pitch so he wasn't the talking point and the reason the game was lost. 2nd Half, and especially when it went 2-1 and then 2-2, it was all one way.. Spurs players were just kicking lumps at every chance they could. Emotion got the better of them it seems.
I think that you missed as much as Clattenburg did, unfortunately. There was so much **** going on off the ball, so I'm not surprised that a lot of it went unnoticed. Costa and Ivanovic were probably the worst and the former could've gone off after their first corner for an elbow. Letting loads of stuff go was only ever going to help one team and it did.
Thought it was a bad mistake to take Son off. Any talk of us losing the title tonight is ridiculous. Most of us knew it was all over a week or more ago. Yes tonight it became a mathematical certainty, but West Brom, Liverpool, and West Ham were the damaging games. A point at the Bridge is a good result given this was their cup final. Hope Poch can pick the team up from this and get the win that will seal 2nd spot next week, it looks like we'll be missing a few. Finally congrats to Leicester.
Congratulations Leicester. Chelsea I do not want to talk about, I am just trying to get the bad taste out of my mouth.
Then he is a coward not capable of enforcing the letter of the law. And unfit for such games. 10 vs 10. 9 vs 9, Whatever. The referee is expected to SET THE TONE. The tone Clatterf**k set tonight was that ANYTHING goes. And surprise surprise, he WILL be a talking point.
No point in bitching boys as it's done. For Spurs to have won the league they needed to do better than previously i.e. WBA only losing one in six at WHL. Needed to break the mould by beating Chelsea and stop Newcastle's little habit of winning at WHL. Nothing had changed and to win leagues traditions must change. Well done Leicester, I did not think it possible. So Poch in his first season gets Spurs to Wembley, CL in his second so third time lucky?
They'll have lost a few quid, but they'll have made a ton of money from everyone who bet on other clubs. All the Scousers and Chelsea supporters that chucked their money away at the start of the season will have more than made up for it.
IMHO the week of the London derbies ultimately done us. 1 pt from 6 was not good enough. We were always chasing a big gap from then onwards.
Pity ref failed to add on time lost with low life's crowding the ref every opportunity Unfortunately we went all macho forgetting their weakness was at the back and we needed to keep the pressure on with our quick passing game
Still hard to believe Leicester are champions and last season's winners wouldn't reach their points total if they played until next March Surreal
Well, I said at half-time it was exciting, and I still stand by that. To be fair, we weren't seriously expecting to beat Chelsea at home were we?! I for one enjoyed the intense game but I do fear the FA will interfere and ban a fair number of Spurs players now which will ruin our final 2 games. During the game, it wasn't a case of remembering who was booked, I couldn't think who wasn't booked in the Spurs team! Were Chadli and Loris the only Spurs players at the final whistle that were still on the pitch not to have a yellow card? I think Spurs themselves are due for a fine from the FA too for not controlling their players.
And Selby goes and wins it at the crucible. Let's just make Leicester the ****ing capital of England while we're at it.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino: "First of all I congratulate Leicester and Claudio Ranieri and his players and supporters. Disappointed because I thought we fought to be in the race. At 2-0 up in the first half, in the second half we have to counter and score the third but this happens. When we conceded the first goal anything can happen. Very disappointed but at the same time very proud of my players. "It was a derby and we were fighting for the title and Chelsea were fighting. It makes us feel proud how Chelsea show big respect to us and this is the way we want to carry on next season. We respect them, we have full respect for them. "It’s football, we are men, they are men we need to show we are strong. It was a good lesson for us, we are the youngest squad in the league, we feel very proud and our supporters need to feel proud too, we have massive potential for the future. We are disappointed because of the title but we need to be realistic and congratulate our players. Next season we need to be more stronger than this season and try to be in the race."
