Lloris (c), Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose; Dier, Dembele; Lamela, Eriksen, Son; Kane

I don't know why I expected more from hiddink, but this team is set up to fail against spurs. mikel and matic will be swarmed upon, fabregas at 10 is a waste of time.

Next season we need to buy a left back and let azpi come over to the right permanently, ivanovic is a better CB than RB.

Sigh..

 

Need Mikel out now.. cannot come back if we are 2 or more down.

Dembele eye gouging. Should be off. The FA should ban him for that though.

 

I'm sure they will. Silly thing to and uncharacteristic. If you're going to get a ban for doing something to Costa you might as well try and break his jaw.

 

Agree about making it count against Costa, but it's not uncharacteristic for Dembele. I also think Spurs are lucky to still have 11 men on the pitch

 

Apart from Dembele their fouls have been niggly but nothing worthy of a red. I'm a bit surprised more wasn't made of Costa'a hissy fit on Vertonghen and Clattenburg.

 

Dembele could easily have been booked for a couple of tackles, if the ref had seen the eye gouge it would have been a straight red. Walker and Rose also could quite easily have two yellows. I think the ref is trying his best to keep 22 players on the pitch, but as I say Spurs are fortunate they haven't had a man sent off yet.

Spuds could have got 4 Red cards today. Lucky to get away with a draw playing against 10 with 12 men for 96 mins.
