Shocked at seeing a so called Leeds United supporter in The Herald Newspaper, wearing his Leeds top with pride, whilst the story told of his admiration of the monster from Norway. Apparently this guy is well known for his right winged views in and around Leeds and with fellow Leeds supporters. We have a bad reputation throughout the UK and items like this do little but to perpetuate the belief that Leeds fans are all racist thugs who hate everything except white Yorkshire men. The club are now aware of this issue and I'm sure will act as they are allowed to.
No, I read it in the newspaper not online, I've checked the online version today but can't find it. I'm keeping the paper for the club, so that they can act against this guy (in what legal way they can).
who gives a flying feck where I live. I'm fecking more than happy to get this kind of tosser so far away from the club, that they are never ever seen again.
What publicity, no names have been given or any photo, didn't even quote some of the stuff he has posted on various web sites. The club will act against him, that is what I know. The law will probably not allow them to ban him, but they will do everything else they are allowed to. The sooner we lose bastards like this guy from the club, the better.
We have a good following in Norway, and obviously we've had our fair share of Norweigan players in the last 15 years like Bakke, Halle, Haaland and Flo. Lets hope if this article is true, that this idiot gets banned from ER for life
I've looked for the last hour online for this idiot, supposedly wearing a leeds shirt and can find nothing, is it the Sottish herald, is he a Scot himself,? i think you're over reacting and just setting our club up for more bad publicity. the only article i found was the one below. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...Borghezio-praises-Anders-Behring-Breivik.html
I believe in free speech. Everyone seems to bend over backwards to please the lefties, muslims and all the other so called downtrodden minorities. I've not seen heard or read about this. But to try to get someone banned from supporting his club because of his views is pathetic. For the record before you wet liberal supporting tree huggers have a go at me, I'm as horrified at the actions of this maniac and certainly wouldn't condone his actions. But then I'm as horrified at the actions of these nutters who fly planes into buildings and who kidnapped people and behead them.
He's obviously a complete ****-for-brains but there are billions of people with stupid pro-violence views and the rational minority have to tolerate them. Shouldn't be banned, just laughed at and scorned.
Absolutely 100% in agreement with shako. While the monster will have a lunatic fringe of support for this sickening atrocity, we cannot be banning people for their political, ethical or moral views. Why let people in ER with foreign flags? Where I live Irish tricolours and Ulster flags are inflammatary, many times to the point of death itself, I have seen stacks of both at ER. LUFC is a football club, in the entertainment business. People who vote Tory, Labour and Libdem attend. Many cultures and religious views walk through the turnstiles. All with a common aim ..........to cheer on Leeds United ....end of. ****holes like the one you mention WILL be isolated and scorned, but that must be by his family, his neighbours, his workmates whoever has the power to show him his views are unacceptable and intolerable. Banning him from ER will do nothing to change this person. Gawd help us all the day we are not allowed to speak when and how we like. People tried to do that before in the 1930s and boy did the world pay for that.
Absolute nonesense, you seriously must think about what you have said. The article appeared in either The Herald newspaper (not online) in Scotland or the Scottish Daily Express (I can't remember the one I was reading). The bloke was from the EDL, so unlikely to be Scottish and the article stated he was a senior member of this turd group, with well known right winged political views. I totally agree with freedom of speech, just don't want the club associated with it and that is the point of my post. To make it simple, it's the fact he was wearing a Leeds shirt in the picture for the article, that I was concerned about. I'm 100% positive the club have no desire to be associated with this chap, hence they need to act to get the picture removed. As I stated earlier, I am sending the newspaper to the club and they will deal with it.
What free speech? If you're going to have a go, understand what the topic is about before you have a go, otherwise you just look foolish.
A question is "having a go"? Why should LUFC do something at your behest? Instead of bitching on here why don't YOU write to The Herald to express your concerns.
Freedom of Speech - whether you like it or not... People cant keep having it one way - If you have a view why should you not be able to express it..... If it offends you dont read it or listen to it... Simple really.
