it is on channel 5, 3:30pm today it is to commemorate Englands one and only victory iat a competition in football. 50 years ago. To say were still a force is a joke, on a par with Liverpool and TWS. or http://atdhe.top/soccer/watch-england-legends-vs-germany-legends-8ejed
So you think we're closer to 'force' than 'farce'? The national team is improving, but it will be nowhere near good enough until that fossil in charge pisses off. Even you, despite your constant defending of the national team, can surely see that? I have literally zero confidence for these Euros. We'll get through the group, because now you can finish 3rd and still have a chance of going through, but IMO we've no ****ing chance going much further than that. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see it at all.
I can see that results have been excellent. If that isn't a reason to defend the national team, what is? We recently beat the world champions and won every game in qualifying. What more could they have done?
If the qualifying had had good performances against ****ty teams I'd have more confidence. Sadly, we played average at best for most of the campaign. And in a group where only one team (Switzerland) were supposedly meant to be threats of any sort, winning every game is not as amazing as you make it sound. As great as that Germany game was, it showed two things: 1) We did what we always do, get results against big teams in meaningless friendlies. Whilst it was great, it was nothing new - we beat Spain back before Euro 2012, beat Brazil before 2014 World Cup, etc. You also neglect to mention that we lost to the Dutch a few days later quite comfortably, a team which hasn't qualified for the bloody tournament. 2) Our defence is dogshit and will get found out pretty bloody easily. It was clear in the Germany and Netherlands friendlies that our defence was waaaaay behind the rest of the squad. I've had my say, you're not going to change my view and vice versa. I really hope, come the Euros, you are right and I am massively wrong, but I have no faith at all in that bumbling idiot Woy. He'll play his favourites as per usual, leave players like Vardy and Alli on the bench, and then find excuses when we lose. I hope I'm wrong, I really do, but I just cannot see it.
