I'm quite surprised at how many fans have come out and admitted that they hate Chelsea more than your lot. I thought it was just me!

To me, Arsenal have become an object of amused pity over the years, a bit like Macauley Culkin. Chelsea on the other hand have evolved into a repulsive blend of Shia Lebouf, Justin Bieber and Katie Hopkins. I utterly loath everything about them.

"We desperately want to win the next game, which is Spurs, and then there are massive games against Sunderland, Liverpool and Leicester after that.

'It's normal to have scrutiny from the press because you are playing in the limelight. We want to fulfil our obligations now, and in the upcoming games.

"I cannot guarantee the result but I can guarantee that the effort will be there, and not just on Monday."

I've always had a lot of time for Hiddink and he at least maintains a semblance of class and dignity despite being surrounded by a circus of unprofessionalism. I'm looking forward to him leaving as I find it harder to hate them with him in the dugout. Similar phenomenon to Klopp at Pool come to think of it; they were much easier to hate under Brenda.

Only on our board, if I went on to your board I would be more polite.

The scum name relates to the Henry Norris days when your team acted in a pretty scummy way getting us relegated etc., moving to North London from Woolwich because you didn't have enough fans to survive down there and conning your way into the top flight. It's aimed at your club rather than your fans. It's the history of your club that's rotten to the heart and stinks. That's why Spurs fans have often refered to your lot as scum, it's not something new. In fact, I have quite a few gooner friends who are pretty civilised people. I don't dislike your fans, just your club.

I think when the guys on here are talking about hating the Chavs more than you lot, it's the fans that they are talking about. As I said in my previous post, there are too many are bone-headed racists. I'm sure most of them don't realise Abramovich is Jewish. The Chavs as a team don't have a lot to hate about them, they are a bit of a non-entity really, they don't have much of a history, not until Abramovich came along anyhow. I know they try to sign every decent young player and farm them out to European teams to stop other clubs getting them, but that is a recent phenonomen, however, if they continue to do it I can see all fans of all the other teams hating them.

It's difficult to rewrite history so when Spurs fans talk about your lot with each other, the term scum is often used. So be it, it's unlikely to change. However, the Chavs may be making a rod for their own back, the way they operate currently is not illegal but certainly beyond sporting fairness, similar to the way your lot used to behave.

Says it all about the current unprofessionalism of the Chelsky squad that Hiddink feels
compelled to counter any claims that the players have their cup final tonight only and may
throw the last game if it comes to that.

Terry, Costa, Hazard, Fabregas, Willian, Drogba, Cole, Anelka, Bosnich. There have been plenty of hateful characters in recent years.

  11. Does seem a bit rich, taking lessons in Forum etiquette from a Gooner who takes up half a page with a dumb-ass signature based on Spurs quotes and then tries to cosy up to the Chavs on their thread for tonight's game. <doh>
Sadly besotted with us it seems........particularly as it appears so many Spurs fans on here aren't that fussed about the Goons!
    (And I didn't mention the 'S' word once <laugh> )

if it was the other way round and Arsenal were playing Chelsea and they needed a win to push for the title then all the Spurs fans would be Chavs for the night !

Hating Arsenal is mandatory for a Spurs fan.
Hating Chelsea is just human nature.

Arsenal will always be the team I hate the most, it's what I've been brought up to do, the NLD is a huge derby and known throughout Europe, there's nothing like the atmosphere and build up to that match. Their fans wind me up, there's something about just even looking at a gooner that makes me want to high five them in the face with a shovel while their players just come across a bunch of mugs as well.

Chelsea I despise as a club, regardless of the fact they're a London rival. I just see them as such a despicable outfit. Racist captain who's idolised by racist fans, bought their recent success, glorify a **** like Costa along with pricks like Drogba, Cole, Fabregas etc and there's just a sheer classless aura around them.

I don't see why it is so difficult to hate them both in equal measure. I manage it.

I think what we're saying Dona is that they are two completely different types of hatred. It's emotionally draining being the fan of such a perfect club, it really is.

Spurs and Arsenal have a natural rivalry.
Chelsea and West Ham have one based upon something else and I'm pretty sure that we all know what it is.
When your own club have to ask you to stop singing about Hitler in this day and age, then it's pretty hard to ignore.

The daft thing is that back in history all London clubs had a similar sized Jewish support. West Ham may choose to ignore it but the East End has always been a first-stop for immigrants. There was always a large Jewish contingent in West Ham's support. Chelsea was famous for attracting the rag trade and show-business types which means a high Jewish percentage. My dad whose mum was Jewish and dad was Irish was part of that generation that used to go to watch both teams as we've always had alternate home games. He said that the crowds at both clubs were indistinguishable. There was no problem until the 70's when I recall the atmosphere changing. It's so bloody stupid. I've always respected Arsenal as being a decent crowd. I have cousins who are Gooners. Nobody in my family has ever supported Chelsea or West Ham.
