Obviously I'd like one of my bros in Ding to win, but I think he's a serial choker. Did well to come back from 6-0, but Selby is talented AND a street-fighter, and, though he won it, that hour long 15th frame really seemed to debilitate Ding. Wasn't surprised to Selby rattle of the last two of the session - Ding looks shot.

See what happens today, but I'd be surprised to see Ding make double figures if Selby gets his eye in.

Love it more than the darts I do. I'm so old. :emoticon-0110-tongu

Yes but never mention it on here as it's never got a response in the past.

I'd prefer Selby to win though #english #racism

As a spectator sport snooker is about as interesting as watching paint dry.

    I've been in and out.

We used to like darts when the world was young and nothing else was on but these days watching hours of snooker is hard.

It is repetitive and a flick in and out sport.

I felt so far ding made too many errors and I just don't know the quality is there.

Snooker needs a standout big name personality. It had o'sullivan which drew in crowds, in same way darts had Taylor v Barney

It still has osullivan but it needs a 20 year old version. The guys who've come up are dry ****es and just nothing all that either.

    Yeah that does get old.

You need someone smashing 147s in and playing both handed for the laugh but not acting the point head or being not bothered

Hendry was a machine but osullivan captured the imagination like Higgins did.

He's been reigned in over the last couple of years. Always takes crazy shots once a game is won.

I think shot time is the big thing. Play fast and be loved

    Yeah.

This final is like an old terry Griffith playing and old steve Davis.

    Dragging...

It's going to be a late finish. Average frame time is ridiculous

If they'd take their chances it's be OK. It's missing **** and breaking down that ****s it then the safety comes on for ages.

Lovely sunny evening here in York. Got up an hour ago, dog desperate for a walk - but I have to watch the final frames of the session, don't I?

May Day bank holiday tradition in our house, follow the snooker final, even if it goes on to 1 am in the morning. <ok>

Evidently, want Selby to win but Ding is so impressive and isn't going down without a fight.

Every time he pulls closer, Selby draws away again.
