If you included Borer, there are 5 clubs who currently get bigger crowds than we do based on published figure of attendances at last home game v BFC.
    MFCv ITFC att. 30,505
    SWFCv CCFC att. 31,843
    LUFCv CAFC att. 25,458
    BCFC v WFC att. 19,336
    SUFC v BFC att. 23,307
I say we are the best team in Yorkshire based on the last twelve years of success - four promotions, two of which to PL, four seasons in the PL, one FACF, one Europa League and unprecedented exposure and coverage- not on current league position (although we are second).
I hear Ehab Allam believes his membership scheme model is a visionary tool which other clubs will rush to follow....

But surely they will draw his attention to the catastrophic haemorraging of support over the last 3 years that he has presided over?
We should have a full house very week, backed by a noisy home support, based on the foundations of the above success on the pitch.
Regardless of a boycott of the Membership Scheme, the elephant in the room is the loss of support over the last 3 years, just when our support should be the strongest it's ever been.
What an utter waste and **** up by Assem Allam and his son.
I expect to see the first youngster in a Leicester shirt on the streets of Hull very soon.

The words "believes his membership scheme model" and " which other clubs will rush to follow" are unnecessary in that phrase

    corrected it should read

"I hear Ehab Allam is a visionary tool "

Yep, I'm still here mate. I just haven't had time to post much, nor the inclination, given our recent slump.

Do you remember all those threads about extending the stadium? How daft does it feel right now?

You'll be eating your words when the innovative membership scheme kicks in and is over subscribed.

And with Huddersfield not being as enlightened as our clu and doing things all wrong, dropping prices and committing the cardinal sin of having people sat next to each other who have paid different prices, the odds are they will also be getting more than us if we remain in this division.

You can imagine next season in some Yorkshire boardroom when Ehab is chatting with his equivalent
"Yes, we've done away with our turnstile staff, our ticket office and cash transaction facilities."
"Really? Our gates are bigger than ever Mr. Allam, we need all of those to cope with our 20,000+ gates."
"But ...but ..your overheads....and ....er.... what about people fiddling the concessions....we've eliminated those..."
"They're more than offset by the bigger gate receipts, the bigger refreshments receipts, the bigger clubshop receipts....it's all about building bridges not walls."

I never see Middlesboro as from Yorkshire. Never have, never will. I don't care what any official borders say!

Yes. I think your mate got that one wrong. Disappointing level interest both by the public, the media and the council. I was watching a feature about Leicester last week. The mayor was on, Leicester City scarf draped round his neck, saying the level of interest in the city was fantastic. It had been good last year by being in the PL but had gone into over drive this year. He said they intended to make the most of the opportunities. There were camera crews there from various countries and he was talking to them and having meetings with businessmen from a number of places including China. (Imagine - China interested in a place whose football club has a lousy, irrelevant name like City. You would have thought they would be swarming around the successful Leicester Tigers).
Our council never showed any great interest or used the opportunities offered. Not just this time but the first time we went up. The only PL club in Yorkshire and nothing made of it either. When Hull was awarded City Of Culture what was the reaction of our Portfolio Holder for Culture and Sport? He said he was looking forward to people coming to Hull, and seeing what a great sporting city it is. Not only does its people love their rugby league, they like their wrestling and darts too. Yet people will no doubt vote this clown in again.
Sad to say that some places are more deserving of success.

I know what you mean, I refuse to believe Glasgow is in Scotland, they're not fooling me with their borders and daft accents.

Places where Yorkshire played county cricket before all games were awarded to Headingley. Sheffield, Leeds, Bradford, Hull and...Middlesbrough.
I would like to have seen you informing Brian Clough he wasn't from Yorkshire. He insisted his wife went back to Middlesbrough for the birth of Nigel as in those days you had to be born in Yorkshire to qualify to play for them.

In 2008, we had parade through the streets, reception at City Hall, and a love in between the club and the council which carried on with large banners draped from lamp posts down the main streets, another big banner at the entrance of St Stephens. There was pride, harmony and mutual goodwill.
In 2013, Allam vetoed any kind of celebration outside of the KC stadium, spitefully denying his own players their day of glory and photos/memories to last a lifetime, and tens of thousands of fans the chance to celebrate in the streets.
A more spiteful, selfish, mean-spirited and childish attitude you will never see. As if to prove it was not a fluke, he did it again in 2014 with the Cup Final team.
Someone who puts his own ego and agenda above that of the whole city and its own football team. Still, he won't be bothered...he got his picture next to Prince William in the Royal Box.

Isn't it the other way around - they traditionally were North Yorkshire and now technically aren't?
