Bit too little too late for Villa mind. One of my mates goes to most games and he said it was the best they´ve played in a while. Why show passion after your "death"?
Jon Marks was saying that it was the first time he had ever heard booing from the away fans as the Villa players names were being called out. There was a big round of applause from them when they had a shot on goal. Gallows humour was very evident yesterday.
and for having a party in the away end for 95 minutes, great chants and able to laugh in the face of adversity...hats off indeed.
The number 7 I think took particular stick! With somebody like Ayew and a solid Championship striker in Gestede up front they might be ok actually. Just need stability off the pitch it seems..
To put that into context, I'd say the worst team we have played all season is Liverpool. In other words, it really means nothing. Villa were 'up for it' and probably thought they could get a result from the match, given our recent form. The fact that they didn't speaks volumes about them.
I like this guy. https://jimmyarmchair.wordpress.com/2016/05/01/nobody-knows-anything/ I wonder how many people had left early and now wished they had stayed?
Spot on and Garth Crookes in his team of the week post should read it and maybe learn something. But hey!! what do i know... nothing!!!!
http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/spo...ton-villas-jordan-ayew-investigated-11271632? Trouble brewing for a Villa player. Anyone see this happen?
If we play the youngsters against Liverpool, the other sides chasing European places will complain. If we play them against Norwich, Newcastle and Sunderland will complain and if we play them against Sunderland, Norwich and Newcastle will complain. The youngsters will just have to make them all look silly by winning all 3 games.
You've not been paying attention if you think QSF will suddenly make big changes now. He didn't at Christmas even though he said he would and he hasn't made the obvious changes that have been needed for different reasons (loss of form, change of system/personel in wrong positions) for months. If he does it now, it's too late.
BBC say the FA are looking at the behaviour of two Villa players towards home fans after we scored the third. Ayew and one other I think. Anyone know anything about it? I was too busy chanting 'Deeney, Deeney' to notice anything!
Great result, shame about the rest of the game! I saw some of the Villa coaching staff rushing into the crowd in the Sir EJ stand, but could not see what it was about all the way from The Rookery. Best part was all those leaving on 80 mins missing the drama - served the buggers right!
Just to lighten the mood a little, my brother reminded me where we were on May 2nd 2010 ? Away at Coventry winning 4-0 and staying in the championship !! ( think we technically did it the week before ) puts a poor performance confirming mid table safety in the Premier League into perspective ?
