Bad day for F1 and the viewers, theres no way im subscribing to Sky for 1 channel I will be watching every 2 weeks with also a 4 month gap in between seasons. Id rather watch the BBC half of races and stream the rest.

I think what annoys me most about this is that Cameron has been trying to kill off the BBC at James Murdoch's behest and now it seems that the BBC are playing right into their hands. Oh well, we'll always have Antiques Roadshow...

Yeah seen it, but the problem is Sky might do a sneaky and put F1 on Sky sports 3 and 4 instead of the presumed 1 and 2...

Yeah, the link to Top Up TV has Sky Sports 1 and 2 in it. for around 30 quid a month, and I think you get all the Freeveiw Channels with it as well.

Sky Sports however is not available on Freesat or Freeview as far as I know. BT Vision have Sky Sports 1 and 2 and Virgin Media have all of the Sky Sports Channels but they only provide 1 and 2 in HD. BT doesn't show 1 and 2 in HD.

Here are the links to help you guys choose the best package, if your watching it on TV.

Sent my emails off, not that it will do any good, but it makes me feel better.

I for one will not be buying sky sports to watch F1, in fact I doubt I'll even bother with the BBC "half" of F1 either. I'll wait until it's back on free to air TV before I bother to watch again.

Good luck F1, it's been a enjoyable journey but it's come to an end due to your greed.

Just vented my anger at McLaren on Facebook, not going to help, but hopefully the teams can support the common fan

Oh FFS. Note the way this was done very much on the quiet to avoid having to navigate the deal through the inevitable mass objection from the UK fan base. Complete farce

Sky sports is available on freeview for free but you have to be a computer genius to find out how.

Just imagine how many adverts Sky will try and milk during coverage, a lot more than itv used to have thats for sure, you will almost forget what you're watching.

Well my mate did it for me over 12 months ago and it's still working. He has this special patch unblocker and some other software on his laptop which he connected up to the freeview system enabling me to get free access to sky channels. It took him over 3 hours for him to enable the patch so it's very complicated and not many people know about this.
