Palace better players were average to good not good to class - so 1/2 hearted - just did enough to say they did'nt roll over - apart from Cabaye so weak penalty Defoes was a good penakty as keeper moved to the left just before JD shot - infact a well placed shot - the hands of jerome & crouches goal were typical of our (lack of ) luck But lady luck shone at the end - stay now for next Saturday - I'll be one of the almost full house - hope for 3pts - but feel we'll only get 1 Come on Villa and win the last prem home game - infact a good win
Kaboule was unbalanced by 2 hands on his back as he started to leap - a professional crouch foul But at least we got a point - I expected this scenario - we don't make it easy
Monty and Wandy in the same room, at the same time . . . . obviously on the same 'puter (unless he's got two, of course) I've got nee idea what he said, like
He is Palace's regular penalty taker and usually goes for placement over power. According to the commentator yesterday his previous penalties had been 22% to the left of the keeper and 78% to the right of the keeper. The keeper went early and guessed correctly - no doubt helped by a lot of inside knowledge from so many players who played with him previously.
The goalie had time to roll a few Rizlas up and smoke one before the ball got there. It was an absolute sh*te penalty and wasnt even towards the corner. Perfect height for a goalie to get. Not knocking Newcastle but that penna was a joke.
I just do not buy into that one. Have a look at youtube, on there he hits them with more power and times it just as the keeper moves, not difficult for a pro footballer. Secondly, for all he is their regular penalty taker he could have passed on this one knowing the impact his scoring would have had. It was non-committal to say the least.
