That was mostly just quick feet and good poaching, plus luck.

Unless Martina really just played it to Man City. That would be bad. But I'm pretty sure it took a deflection off of Fonte so there wasn't much he could do.

 

Apart from 1 **** up from Martina ( who's not prem quality) , that was are best 1st half of the season. Get the first goal second half and it'll be game over.

 

Wow, some people blaming Cuco for that goal? It hit him from close with a man behind him. Not sure what acrobatic instant body swerve you think he should have produced. He's played some lovely through balls and defended pretty well.

Great half. Obligatory goal conceded. Hopefully will be just like the Villa, where we didn't let it bother us.

 

According to BBC it was Victor who screwed up.

Interesting to see if Pellegrini can get their heads up. Seems ours haven't dropped, and if it follows the same pattern in the second half we'll be fine.

People lazily blame Martina, who's actually had a pretty decent half.

As for predicting comebacks for ManC - losers. I can see our favourite 3-1 score here.

 

Jordy has been lovely and slick in the middle of the park. He's made a number of mistakes, but that is because he doesn't just play the dsafe ball. It would be a shame for him to go off, but Nasri has already screamed [sir, sir, he hit me!] a couple of times to try and get him off!

 

How was it not Martina's mistake???? He shinned it straight to him!!

 

If the player has time, fine, criticise him. When he you have to react to a ball pinging about in the box, and you've at least got in the right place to defend, it is harsh to criticise him as he did all he could. 9/10 that ball spoons somewhere safe.

Also, to say he is not prem quality after that really good half is ridiculous. You could argue he is not top ten quality, but he is pretty at home in the Prem.

Because it took a deflection and Martina had little time to react. He didn't so much shin as it hit him in the shin.

He maybe could have done a bit better and deflected it in a different direction. Maybe. But it's pretty hard to blame him for that one.

 

Amazingly we haven't beaten one team this season. Every single side has given us the win, had an off day and showed a lack of fight.

I can't believe Koeman and the players get paid to be given all these wins without and contribution at all.

 

I'm sure the loads of money is a comfort to them. Sergio to the rescue!

Don't agree sorry, he is a liability at times, he gives his all , I'm not doubting his commitment because he puts a shift in every game, and fair play to him for that. But he's just not good enough if we want to progress.

 

Oh I agree, think he's been terrific. I'm just looking for ways to make sure we don't let them back in.

 

So is he not prem quality or not progressing to top 6 quality? You haven't made your mind up.

He's played well this match.
