Huth molests Fellaini, finishing with a ful-blooded 'fro tug. Fellaini replies with an elbow, which Huth pretends hurts him. The beautiful game.

Shenanigans! It's all going off in the penalty area as first Robert Huth appears to grab the hair of Marouane Fellaini, with the Belgian then chopping an elbow into the chin of the German defender.
Referee Michael Oliver takes no action, but presumably he didn't see either incident. We could see a card or two if that continues.

Not sure if hair-pulling could be construed as violent conduct, but surely Fallaini at least should be subject of a post-match investigation and likely ban?

I guess Fellaini will have to be cited.
Huth ?? Well a season epitomised in 5 seconds.

I'm on Fellaini's side. You don't expect someone to pull your hair and yank your head back. It was violent enough that the natural reaction was "my neck is going to get broken if I don't do something." So the elbow was self-defense, I think. It's a natural reaction to a panic-inducing foul.

Pulling an opposition players' hair is not pushing the envelope of "physicality" .
Nothing in the game requires it to ever be done.

And as there is a high likelihood that players will react like Fellaini did, then
a player is cheating (for attempting to incite a response that will get another an
    on-pitch / post-match ban) .

  13. And that unbiased, erudite scholar of a pundit, Savage only highlights Fellaini's elbow...... Expect that to be the way the authorities see it as well unfortunately.

Was just going to ask what the "pundits" were saying at HT about the cheating.
Going to be a bit anti the Narrative (TM) of the "fairy tale story" , isn't it. :)

It has to be the same punishment for Huth (Tin hats on lads!) or Leic....all the cheating teams will be hair pulling, spitting, scratching and bitch fighting like crazy.

The protests weren't about not winning the league. The protests were about the club accepting mediocrity and refusing to use the resources we have available to us, which illustrates the lack of ambition. It's the fact that we aren't making the effort to improve and that everyone seems to be content with keeping things as they are.

The points you make about us winning 2 trophies in 18 years is completely irrelevant. Times have changed. We have better pulling-power and finances than we did back then, which should give us an advantage.

I like you RCL, but your comment clearly does show a lack of understanding.
