He joined Tottenham for a fee of £25.8 million (sterling) + plus up to £4.2 million in bonus payments

thats considerably more than lollanna and tbh theres not much difference in their ability regardless of who you'd prefer.

im not saying hes a bad player by any means just a very expensive and prettier Dirk Kuyt.

it wasnt that long ago you threw away money on the likes of - Soldado (£26m), Paulinho (£17m), Etienne Capoue (£9m) and Nacer Chadli (£7m)

We all pay over the odds in the point here i think. but for 30m you couldve got Firmino ;)

Dele Alli only cost £5m. He's better than Ozil.
Liverpool weren't prepare to exceed £3.5m.

Your recruitment is generally ****. We had Baldini and it's true he wasted money but he's gone. He's been replaced by someone who knows what he's doing Your Transfer Committee remains. The fact that you were very willing to waste £30m on Alex Teixera in January shows that there's still a lot of mistakes to come out of your club.

Remember Klopp wanted to sign Benteke for Dortmund.

Oh yeah, Firmino's not very good.

thats hilarious considering Firmino has had a bigger impact in the prem in his 1st season than Lolema (whos just turned up) after 3 seasons <laugh> so if hes not very good then Lolema is by your reckoning.... utter garbage.

and please dont bore me with the now famous spurs "sustained progress, going places, new stadium, delli alli cost a fiver" predictions Brian, unless you have a crystal ball and can tell me next weeks lotto numbers?

Im very confident that Klopp will purchase the correct players and no doubt has more influence than BR ever had over transfers so i dont see us wasting money the way we have over the last 8 years.

Lamela played 9 games in his first season due to injury so you views are, as usual, just wrong.

We'll still be well above you next year. You know Klopp's not magic after Thursday's shocker.

whats he got like 16 goals in 3 seasons?

compared to 9 in his 1st year for firminho, give him til jan next year and hed have scored more too :D

I saw your game on Thursday and didn't know Firmino was on the pitch until he was subbed off. Marvellous!

Aye firmino had a quiet game that night for sure. probably reminded you of Lamela in his 1st two seasons.

And its not madness to suggest a mass exodus and possible influx of players over the next 2 windows, we certainly need it in a lot if not most areas, Klopp got rid of like 12 or something in his 1st window at BVB so its in him to do so, tbh Brian i think probably couts & firmino are the only 2 who shouldnt be worried this summer. the rest id be happy for klopp to chop and replace as he sees fit as long as the price is right and effect on the club is a positive one.

i reckon we will see a minimum of 8 leave this summer, maybe 4/6 in (not including Matip and Grujic)

If he ran into the opposition and fell over a lot, then yes. He's vastly improved since then. He was only 21 when he was signed by Baldini for AVB who didn't want him.

Next year's the one for him. He's finally fit enough, got his confidence and has had a good season. Next year he'll need to improve as we're obviously going to strengthen and we're looking at players like Bouffal. I think he'd play well as part of deeper 3 but he'd have to displace Mousa. Not happening.

Suckpot can you not read? £25.7m which INCLUDES £4.2m in bonus payments, he was also signed from Italy at a time when you got less euro for your pound, so paying by installments would decrease that fee slightly, 30m euros is around £23.5m at today`s exchange rate.

So that`s around the same as Lollana, regardless of what the sensationalist media like to report.
 
Floppo proving how good of a job Pochettino has done with such a young side. Got their arses handed to them by a Swansea side with nothing to play for.

Not so.

Qualifying for the Europa via the PL, while being in a UEFA competition, is a big
effort for the Poool. Just as Pochettino sacrificed UEFA land for a PL title push, so
Klopp has done with the PL for the Europa.

Chadli was worth £7m and we made our money back on Capoue...don't remember the other names you mentioned though <whistle>
