Very proud of that performance! Restricting Arsenal to 3 shots on target while managing the same ourselves was one hell of a performance. Play like that again against ManUtd and we might have a chance. Even if we don't manage it, I'm very proud of our players tonight.
Proud of what? We were going to battle but we are going to have a Fulham end game because of the preceding dross if we're not careful. Hold on .. . Careful? Aha. That is us all over.
Same old, same old, same old... Go at it like hell, can't score, never looked like scoring, concede goal lose game. It's been the same all season!!!!!
The really crushing thing is, first half we were so organized. So committed. We never shew any of that in any of our must win games against teams who were awful. we have All been saying that for many many premiership seasons. All fans know what we are lacking each time. Just never happens.
I'm confused, were people expecting us to go to Arsenal and win? I think we played well with the players at our disposal, and to come away with an extremely narrow win is hardly cause for hysteria. Sure, we are quite likely to go down, but we've certainly still got a chance.
We HAD to win.....not many were expecting us to win, but we had to. No we haven't, spec savers for you my man!

So were not thinking that Sunderland and Newcastle aren't targeting the same? Our points advantage has gone, our goal difference is awful, we've got Man U, Everton and Watford to play and we can't score goals. Leading scorer has 5 all season, Where are the goals coming from for us to win ANY game??
Agree with all of this. To stay up, we need to see things we haven't seen all season. We need performance, we need luck, and we need referee decisions. We have never had any of that in any Premiership season. I can't see a drastic change now.
I predicted a long time ago 18. Newcastle 19. Norwich 20. Villa Newcastle have looked very likely to stay up, but I still stick by my feeling of Big Sam and Defoe keeping up. 7 points clear we were, and a better goal difference..............Now, 19th looks dead certs. Makes me feel sick.
Phew, that's a relief, I really thought we'd lost! A good display, but that's been a rare thing, sadly, which is why we find ourselves where we are.
Yes, we could have taken 3 points off Villa, Sunderland and Palar53 if we'd played like that against them!!!
Not to mention made a decent fight of the (toothless) games at Watford and Bournemouth. What irks me most is that every now and then the lads show they have the fight, guts, steel and resolve to put in a performance like last evening's. Where the hell has that workrate, commitment and attitude been for 32 or 33 other games this season??
