You're the team who looks most likely to stay up. I can't see past you guys unless you lose to both Everton and Chelsea (I doubt anyone here believes that will happen). @Nads NOW, it is in your hands again .
I think most of us expected the mags to win. We probably thought realistically, we would get a draw. We expected Norwich to lose. These all happened. The mags reduced their gd but only by 1, I reckon a few of us thought they might get 2 or 3 We picked up a point even though we were poor today. We are still in the driving seat and although there are lots of permutations, I know we are in the position the other 2 would prefer to be in in our mini league.
I think your Mags are edging it at the moment, they have on paper the easier fixtures and have the momentum, but tommorrow is another day, and you never know whats coming next.
We have too many players that pick and choose when their feel like performing. Where was the Khazri that played against Arsenal and Borini??? Its do or die now ffs
I agree and we have few options for change in these two vital positions, maybe Watmore but N'doye I just cant see it. Now we have no AJ, or Lens by the looks of it we are relying on Kaz and Fabio to perform in every game, there is no margin for error now, it is the last chance saloon
Definite point gained! Benitez did it after the city game. The offside goal he kept going on about "I'm not having a go at the officials I'm just stating facts" (he failed to mention the fact that the ref didn't give a o malty for what looked like a foul on Aguero though! - only the "facts" that suited his argument!) today I saw Watmore go past the defender (pieters?) and run towards the ball. I saw the defender change the path of his run and blatantly, in the box, push Watmore to stop him getting the ball. Not a 50/50, just a player wanting to gt the ball and another wanting to play the man. I saw Crouch put both hands on Younes Kaboul's back and blatantly pUse him to stop him winning a ball high he ours normally in. Wonder if Sam has those "facts" on ice to try to maybe persuade the refs to give us a break?
We have two home games which are vital. Both Chelsea and Everton are miles ahead of us, but they're not great this year either. Get four points out of that six and it takes us to the last day ahead on GD (assuming Newcastle will stuff Villa). And that will suit us. The thing to remember about Totttenham is they're anything but sure of second place. Arsenal and Man. C. are capable of reaching 73 points yet (they can't both do it because they play each other). So 'Spurs do need four points yet to guarantee second place. It doesn't bode well for anybody going to the Lane - Pochettino gives nowt away! - and that's exactly what Newcastle have to do!. Get four points from two home games, and it firmly puts us in the driving seat.
We play Spurs at home having already beaten them at WHL. We will probably get 6 points but I don't think it will be enough to keep us up.
My mistake, mate. But still, Pochettino will come to kill. I think he's the most 'driven' manager since Jose and Alex. This guy wants it all.
Believe me if you get 6 points you stay up. 5 is probably the most we will get but I think it will most likely be 4.
He definitely does. I am glad he has signed on a longer contract at Spurs (how long he remains is uncertain). It will go down to the wire. I'm not convinced though. It would be typical Newcastle to get in someone like Rafa, only to lose him because he doesn't fancy playing Leeds United (not that I'd blame him for leaving like).
I dunno but your insistence that you're going down is getting a bit tiresome. I get it, you're prepared for the worst. But stating so every time you post isn't going to make any difference to your results.
