AND IF YOU CONSIDER WHEN WE PLAYED THOSE TEAMS, IF OUR TEAM HAD TURNED UP, POTENTIALLY WE COULD HAVE HAD AT LEAST 10 POINTS MORE, WHICH WOULD PUT US TOP OF THE PILE.

AH WELL, ROLL ON THE PLAY - OFFS

I can't see the club shifting 30 odd thousand tickets on the off chance the team gets to Wembley.

    Empty seats aplenty

I can understand him shuffling the team around today, but I think the most annoying thing is that in a couple of games recently we have actually started the game with 2 (TWO) strikers and its worked pretty well. So today, we revert to playing poor Akpom on his own (I know Hernandez was rested but what about Diomande - didn't do badly at Reading.). Obviously Akpom isn't the finished article but he was the only player who looked like scoring , other than the Snoddy freekick, and again taking him off after 70 mins when he had just hit the bar looked like poor psychology to me - hardly gives the lad much encouragement. And then of course we played the last 20 with not one but two 'false number 9's' who barely got into their penalty area.

    Keep Derby Guessing ???
We play exactly the same way whatever players are in the side and have for 4 years now.

Yeah, see what you mean now. You're right, he did well today.

Feel a bit sorry for Clucas, he should have been taken out of the team a few weeks ago. Good player but his play and confidence has wilted over the last few weeks, it's not helped keeping on playing him.

Sorry, that should read "I didn't see the game but here is my analysis anyway of our wrong tactics, wrong formation and here are the players I'm slagging off" just like the experienced ones do on the radio.

Try and keep it to one argument at a time. I don't go on about formations. I'm saying people are going to be a bit fed up of these identical away defeats. Formations and tactics are Bruce's job, not ours. Whatever he's doing it isn't working and it regularly doesn't. Our second string had an inform Brentford side's pants down. Today we looked **** against Bolton like we do so often away from home. Whatever the formation it's Bruce's job to stop apologising and sort this out, but he obviously can't since its been happening for two years. He's obviously leaving in the next few weeks so whatever will be will be. I just hope that if we can't yet promoted some of this squad are still here to challenge again next year because we should have absolutely ****ing romped this division and would have done with a different manager.

So they'd just play Ince and the left winger high up the pitch, meaning Robbo and Dave wont get forward. The midfield wont be able to push on or it'll leave a big gap for them to exploit, especially as you'll play Hudd. So we'll be reduced to hitting long balls up to a weak in the air centre forward. Nobody to pick up the lose balls etc

****ing tactically inept you've lost the plot.

"Mebbes aye mebbes no" as King Kenny would say.
Only in a parallel universe would you know if that was true.

I've got the backing of the fans though. I'd play Hudd and Meyler actually, but as Meyler isn't fit, it'd have to be Jake.

I was going to post something similar.

We made changes aplenty and lost a game 1-0 in a game that doesn't matter.

Key players rested, fringe players looked at etc..

I'd rather lose 1-0 playing the team we did than won 3-0 with our first team and risk somebody important getting injured ahead of the players.

The playoff is different. You don't need to win inside 90 minutes - you can go and come away with a draw or 1 goal loss and be pleased knowing you have your home leg to come. Different psychology. L

But it isn't boring. Not at all. It's ****ing dynamite. Yes I subbed Meyler after 4 minutes after he set up two of their goals, but we gave it a go; he isn't the best footballer in the world but he's Irish and he tries hard. Most importantly Hernandez got another rest, so he'll be fresh for next season.

I'd take 0-0 away, it's the home leg I'm worried about.

Easy for you armchair fans to say, you don't know anything compared to my prowess.

But you could go like for like, sure.
