If we get the right result with Dikgacoi included in the starting line up, I'll take my hat off to Slade. It looks so negative to me. If he was going to go down that route I'd have preferred Gunnar in there instead for his scoring potential - when was the last time Dikachoi threatened the net? Shades of Dave Jones in 2009 and we know what happened then. Harris on the bench could be a match winner coming off it for the last 20 minutes and it looks to me as though that's the plan.
A stream for any of you brave enough to watch. http://firstrowsportes.com/ I too would have preferred to see Gunner.
This team selection is about as negative as it's possible to be. I can see us being over run and losing by 3 or 4. I hope I'm wrong and we win by 3 or 4. Stranger things have happened, I just can't remember when.
Only one team trying to play football. And it isn't Cardiff. Looks like Pilks might have to be taken off, pulled his hammy.
Dikgacoi finding the net? Try 8th March 2011, against us at Selhurst. 1.0 defeat. In fairness he also scored another 6 goals for Palace between 2011 and 2013. Has never threatened the onion bag while playing for us though.
To be fair, the plan looks like to get through the first half and then see what happens. Sort of expected by Slade. 0-0 at the half would be fine. Wednesday will start to sit deeper the longer the scores stay level.
If we want to go for the win (which we have to) then at some stage Manga to come on at cb and Morrison to go upfront.
Zohore does look a bit clumsy and in need of some serious first touch coaching. However he is a big bugger and clumsy big buggers can cause defences problems. I think Harris has to come on if we're going for this - a draw is no use other than for the after match press conference pat on the back chitchat. I'd even bring Lawrence on for Dikgacoi - it's **** or bust time.
