qpr have had bid accepted for dj & he will discuss terms over next couple of days & hopefully sign, news just come up on my phone
On the Offish now.... not looking to bad is it get another two defenders in and i think we should be ok
Good to see it on the offish. I thought the problem earlier was the payment to his agents. Presumably this has been resolved so it's just the players personal terms. I'd like to see this one tied down.
If memory serves, it is unusual for the propaganda site to have accepted bids posted, they usually wait until the whole deal is complete. I feel there is something fishy going on.....
DJ and Jay would give his pretty decent firepower. If you look at the bottom 8 teams last year i really dont see a strike partnership better than that!!!
I think our new PR bloke/regime are trying to be a bit more open and give the fans what they want, updates!!
Interesting this is on the offish! Must be very close to announcing a deal Now all we need it the takeover to happen next week so Warnock gets a few million to spend on defence.
According to SMUDGE on twitter we havent had the bid accepted we have just met the 1.25 m Clause in DJS CONTRACT
Im with you on this one roller not normall practice to put this on the site unless guaranteed i get a feeling this is already done & dusted although i might be wrong.
No difference. If there's a clause in the contract, and we meet it, they are contractually obliged to accept the bid.
The reasoning behind my comments above is that Campbell has Prem experience. He scored 13 goals in a team that was relegated. Bothroyd is an England Internatioal. These are facts. What International or Prem experience has Graham or Sinclair. The point i was making was that this potentially (at least) is the best front two that we will have had for years. Pace and power and some Prem experience. Looking at the front two from Swansea and Norwich, i just dont see the same EXPERIENCE / POTENTIAL. Most if not all of the bottom 6-8 teams did not have much better than this, IMO.
Premier League new boys QPR are set to sign DJ Campbell after Blackpool accepted their bid for the striker. Rangers boss Neil Warnock has been chasing Campbell for several weeks and is believed to have offered around £1.25 million ($2 million) for the former Birmingham star. The 29-year-old scored 13 times for Blackpool in the Premier League last season but was unable to save the Seasiders from relegation and the prospect of a quick return to the top-flight is likely to persuade Campbell to move to Loftus Road. QPR said in a statement on their official website: "The club have had a bid for Blackpool striker DJ Campbell accepted by the Seasiders. "The Tangerines frontman, who scored 13 goals in 31 appearances in the Premier League last season, will now discuss personal terms with the Rs over the coming days, ahead of a potential move to Loftus Road." If Campbell does join QPR it will be the first time Warnock has paid a transfer fee since leading the west Londoners back into the Premier League. His previous two deals for Kieron Dyer and Jay Bothroyd were both free transfers http://www.emirates247.com/sports/f...-as-blackpool-accept-bid-2011-07-29-1.410307?
One point which is undeniable - this potentially (at least) is the best front two that we will have had for years
Yet another wheeler dealer deal then. Blackpool have yet to forgive us regarding the Gorkss saga. Are we ever likely to buy a player on the open market again? We should be rebranded Spivs United.
