I'm hoping you just say - 'we don't Waggy, but give us £5.5 and you can have him'.

    Can't see it though.

The ginger woman with the big nose off east midlands today has just tweeted we are close to signing a striker and she thinks its Nicky Maynard, maybe this is why the Maynard situation has gone quiet

    There are her tweets

Hear from new #lcfc signing on Michael Johnson on EMT 18 30. A new striker is close. 9 new signings now and 4 have turned down prem clubs.

Think the striker is Maynard for those asking #lcfc

I dont like her, the only woman I trust with transfer news is Hayley Gallagher. I remember the other year at the City Ground she was interviewing City fans in front of me and i kept wanting one of the players the smash her with the ball. Waghorn was there so there was a decent chance

Your fasination with NM is becoming scary, lets wait until it's a done deal either way as Proud Fox must of
creamed himself a thousand times with the thought of NM joining the famous lcfc.

    Take a chill pill lads.

<laugh> She is a terrible reporter, so wooden and sounds like she's never seen a football match in her life. And that nose <yikes>

But I can't help but like her, she's comical in that way, seems like a nice girl who just knows **** all about football. That must be why EMT employ her, for comedy value. Surely?

I think Leicester have more chance of resigning Chris Garland back from us.

Her voice and her nose are just the two most annoying things on EMT.

Even the presenter is a dickhead but he hasn't got **** on Natalie <laugh>

I really hope that this is sorted soon one way or the other it is now very tiresome. Although the Star reckons that we now are after LITA, God I hope not the last thing we need along with all of the new players trying to gel is a disruptive Prima dona.

Bert has said the bid for Maynard went in on Wednesday. Bristol havent rejected it like they did straight away with the other 3 so thats probaly means they are now willing to negotiate a deal with us. I think he could sign today if all goes well

Well, as talk is of Pitman getting a start against West Brom alongside Nicky Maynard to form a "partnership" for this season I would assume that it's crunch time. We've secure enough for the money to only benefit Millen, so I'd imagine it's down to both Millen and the player.

I'd imagine that as this is probably Leicester's last bid Millen has told Maynard to either declare his intention to move or to sign the new contract.

I think if he doesn't sign for Leicester, he will stay "in limbo" all season and see what offers come up when hes out of contract, i can't see him signing a new 2+ year deal if he could run his contract out and move to a prem club after a successful injury free season this year.

It would be foolish for us to let it go that far. As far as I am concerned you guys are offering good money for him and the only reason we should keep him is if he signs a three year contract with us and expresses his desire to stay.

If he can't do that then Millen should give him five minutes to say his goodbyes and get him on the motorway for Leicester. I think it's ludicrous that this has dragged on for so long.
