If places in the table is an appropriate barometer to use, then you've got no point.

Players are always going to judged by their price tag. Lamela (predictive texting wants to call him Pamela) is developing, but he was never a £30M footballer.

Anthony Martial looks a great prospect, but at what point will he be worth his fee?
 
a teams place in the table only means something if its 1st, arguably top 4.

no one remembers who came 2nd 3rd or 4th.

i know with this being your highest lge finish in the pl that its easy to get carried away, i take that into consideration.

We can all remember you slipping into second place a couple of seasons ago, so this clearly isn't true! <laugh>

i think you remember that because it was probably the best football team the lge has ever seen who diddnt win the prem.

right you are though, i remember making sure you stayed in 2nd this season :D

ive said this how many times now <laugh> that depends on the ambitions of the club in question Butthurtlock.

Spurs for example have over achieved this year, i think many of you will agree with that as ive seen you say as much "no one expected top4 this year so if we dont win the lge its a good season anyway" ect

Leicester - over achieved

lpool, chavs, manutd, city & goons all underachieved on their ambitions

You haven't under achieved your a mid table team. You just can't accept it, there is a difference. Spending a lot of money seems to make you think you are a big hitter nowadays.

As for ambition...why do you think its so important for you to remind Spurs fans on a regular basis that they shouldn't be optimistic about their team even though we are on a constant upward spiral? Only time your butthurt responds is when you see a Spurs fan trying to talk up his team.

Your 14 points off us last time I checked, what makes you think that is because we over achieve? Its about right, your ****, we have finished above you 7 of the last 8 seasons.

I think you have a sense of entitlement and you struggle to cope with reality not complying with your sense of entitlement.
 
I've told you before Sucky. You should only start watching football in May when the trophies are handed out. Have a quick glimpse, see if Liverpool are in with a chance, if not, then don't bother watching because you have nothing to enjoy and your team is a failure. You need to stop watching football with your plastic hat on, you might understand then that football is to be enjoyed mate.

You think like a plastic fan Sucky. Yet you was in tears when you beat Dortmund, even though you won **** all that night, that's a bit odd. Yet you think a Spurs fan constantly needs to be brought down a peg or two by you because he dares to be optimistic and enjoy his teams good season.

Get a grip Sucky, stop being a hypocrite.

ive only repeated what your fans including you have said many times this year already, you expected to challenge for top4 and anything more is a bonus.

so why so butthurt? im stating facts mate, you aint won **** and its well within my forum rights that i can remind you of that fact until you do.

or am i wrong?

If it was an inferiority complex I would think that about every non Spurs fan, but I don't. I'm talking to one individual, you.

No mate your not wrong to express your opinion. I'm within my rights to counter act that opinion. We create the heated debate. I'm not for tribal hounding...so I don't want it to spiral into one of them tit for tats...I find them ****ing exhausting.

As for knocking Spurs fans when they dare to suggest that we should be optimistic for improving what seems to be quite rapidly in the grand scale of things, it was you who said finishing 2nd is like finishing 17th, because both positions are trophy less. Factually you are correct. Seriously is that how you see football?

Do you think a team finishing 17th is as good as a team finishing 2nd? Its an analogy you often use, so either you do believe that in which case Im correct and you should only tune into LFC in May, or you say it because you think Spurs fans are small minded for being optimistic about progress because their is no trophy on show.

For me that makes football a **** sport, a plastics haven.
 
mate im too tired to respond to your novel in full at the moment but for the record, The analogy i usually use is 5th is as good as 17th, and it is if your ambitions as a club are top4 and beyond.

if you are expecting a relegation battle but end up winning the prem (Leicester) that would be an over achievement.
if you win the prem and finish the next year in 10th (chavs) thats an under achievement. its pretty simple.

i think you're just pissed that i dont see your teams "seasonal progress" as anything other than what it actually is. progress from 6/7th into the top 4 (once/twice), which you have not managed to do consecutively yet in the pl era if that changes next year ill shut my mouth on the subject fair play.

you say i feel entitled yet you bark stuff like "weve finished above you 6 out of last 7 whatever seasons" like that is a guarantee that you will continue to "progress" when the facts are simple, youve won nothing bar lge position bragging rights <laugh>
