This. I don't blame Toure. He's been solid tonight, he's weakness is playing high and the players got caught trying to score because we only had a striker on for 4 mins at the end.
That's why I don't think 1-0 is a disastrous result. Its poor result considering and 0-0 would have been better (scoring ourselves would have been even better). But I still think we can beat them at home, we just have to keep a clean sheet next week now.
I would have taken 1-0 at the start with the team we put out. Just have to win at Anfield where we will play with a striker. Think Toure was just knackered at the end there and once he missed the ball he was never going to recover
I'm sure you didn't expect us to come back against Dortmund like we did either. Klopp ****ed up keeping Firmino on at HT and bring Ibe on who done absolutely **** all. Should have brought Sturridge on for Coutinho at HT.
Klopp is an experienced manager but was incredibly naive tonight. Firmino should have come off ages ago and Ibe coming on offered nothing.
You can run back faster when you're not looking up Toure ,. Cruel outcome , Liverpool looked pretty good . Thought Lucas and Allen played well . Liverpool will win by a couple at home IMO ... Good luck
Fair enough. But that was a poor performance from us. Clyne and Moreno were the only players running forward, the rest were refusing to take risks.
We defended well, but that's what this Villarreal team are good at, I'm disappointed we didn't play Sturridge, what are we resting him for? Shout out to the players who stepped in today - Allen, Lucas and Toure who I thought were superb all night. It's not over yet, so let's see if we can produce the goods in the next leg.

TYpical Liverpool result against a counterattacking side. Our defence doesnt have the dicipline to keep clean sheets. Moreno's lack of positional sense have cost us so many times this season. We're gonna need 3 at anfield imo

Furious with it, when did 0-0 become a good result with these away legs? Incredibly dangerous on the return leg. Losing 1-0 is obviously even worse and that's always going to be a risk with no ****ing striker on the pitch. Was getting really fed up everyone saying 'nearly job done' and all that bollox - we controlled that second half and should have had a striker in by 65 minutes latest
