Here's an interesting fact: the story about the culture secretary and the dominatrix that quite conveniently got Cameron's tax dodging off the front page wasn't a new one, the press had been sitting on it since November 2013 with The Sun, The People and The Independent spiking it since then for various reasons (in the case of the Independent, they spiked it because the culture secretary was very chummy with Wail Gruppenführer Paul Dacre - and as the Independent is based in Mail HQ, they spiked the story for fear of suddenly having to find a new office) ...and this is an example of how to drag a thread off topic without making it an insufferable waste of bandwidth.
Just piss off back to your own board for a distinct change. You never know there might something that needs "moderating"
Cloughie never ranted. He just made such interviewers look stupid. I recall AVB in his first season at Spurs did similar to one hack (The Sun ??) who seemed to have an agenda all season long, in one pre-match conference.
But what they write in newspapers is just meh (providing not libellous) . So let them do it. But those who try it on in face-to-face interviews ...
They can be edited or omitted completely. You also risk ending up getting Rafa'd and having the word FACT thrown at you forever.
I have nothing against you, but my, your cheeky avatar and the picture in your signature annoys me...! Maybe this is what subliminally annoys some people here...?
**** me! You're like a dose of persistent clap! Piskie, is that you? Have you sneaked back disguised as a Leicester Wum?...
A woman wanted to surprise her husband so she bought a pair of crochless panties. When her husband got home from work,he found his wife spread-eagled on the floor with the panties on. "You want some of this?" she asked. The husband replied,"Hell no! Look what it did to your underwear!" You got to laugh after Monday's comedy show!!!!
I sense that you may be experiencing significant butthurt this morning,,Sucky! I hope that your famed butthurt 'o meter hasn't gone off the scale!...
Aggressively calling a ref a **** is not ok. There is a massive problem with the abuse of referees and Vardy was bang out of order which is why he accepted the charge. If he was allowed to get away with it cos he believed the ref made a bad decision imagine the chaos that would follow on Sunday morning park games. have no idea why any one defended Vardy tbh Your view of the 2nd yellow as being harsh is not the same as most non Leicester fans so can be bothered to re hash the argument. No spurs fan has an issue with Alli ban what we have an issue with is the England manager acting like a mouthy prick when it was none of his business.
I don't have an issue with the ban, just with Alli. It was a bit of a handbags at 6 paces punch, so soft it took me about 6 viewings to notice it, Jesus, if you're going to retaliate and get a 3 match ban, you might as well hit someone properly. Someone needs to get him into a boxing gym and teach him how to punch.
I think Alli should do his wave across the face of would-be antagonists. Sandpaper attached to his palm, although not essential, would be advantageous.
I think this is one of the things that is wrong with the game. Violent Conduct is defined as 'excessive force or brutailty' should mean exactly that and there should be some leeway for things done in the heat of the moment. If you compare the Vardy and Alli incidents: Alli did something that the other guy barely felt and got a three match ban. Vardy was judged to have made a reckless tackle which could have injured an opponent, he then tried to cheat the opposition of a goal and then undermined the authority of the referee. All that was worth a two match ban. Its no wonder that players commit reckless tackles, dive and show dissent if that's what their expected outcome is.
Yes and no, the problem with that is that kids in the park/school will see fit to throw a punch, and most 7 year olds can punch harder than Alli did. A 14 year old could do real damage. Personally I think both Alli and Vardy deserved a three match ban if for no other reason than to discourage kids from copying them. Some may disagree, but I think there is not much difference between verbal and physical abuse.
It's about respect. Players get booked for kicking the ball away, yet, regularly, I see referees being harranged, manhandled and disrespected without punishment. I don't get why it's permitted. There's a lot of nonsense spoken and written about footballers being role-models off the pitch. They really aren't. Any parent who allows Wayne Rooney, Jack Wilshere, Stan Collymore, etc to influence their children's behaviour or thinking with their off-field antics, would have those children taken away from them. However, on the pitch is different. As much as professional sport is a business, the vast majority of football is amateur and largely played by the young. The FA have Codes of Conduct to address issues of behaviour in youth football. If there is no adherence to it at higher levels, what's the point? Ultimately, it's a sport. If the participants are all drugged up, cheating, violent, disrespectful bullies what is the point of it all? As usual The FA bring the game into disrepute by their failure to do anything about things that are important. Hodgson's views on Vardy's rant at the ref were shameful.
Im ok mate, just pissed off that not only were villareal there for the taking but somehow they managed to nick the result at the death, tbh i cant see these lot holding us at home if they play as negatively as last night. Klopp ****ed up not bringing on studge, if i was him id be pissed that benteke got on at all, tekkers has been ****e for us and studge has come back and done what he does best, score goals so i just cannot understand that decision at all tbh.
He played for a 0-0 it all most paid off, but that was always the risk when you are not playing to win the game. Villarreal will try to suffocate in numbers in the 2nd leg and nick it on the break. They wont be coming out to play. I can see a 1-1.
You need an earlyish goal. As Spurlock says, they'll come to spoil and try and nick it on the break. An early goal would encourage them to be a bit more adventurous. Unless they decide to play for penalties...
