I get it - you don't like or rate Steve Bruce.
As long as he loses even one game, you'll hold it up as proof of your theory.
No matter how many he wins, the ones he lost prove you're right. And when he wins, he should have won by more or won differently. He's beaten Brentford home and away, but in your mind 'there was an air of doubt hanging over it' so it's still not good enough. Right result, but he didn't pick the right team (your team) or play the right tactics (your tactics) so that makes him a buffoon.
Have you taken your UEFA badges yet?

Wether you think hes tactically inept or not its only some wayward finishing in half a dozen games that keeping us off top spot right now
    Hernandez header at Burnley.
Brighton Forest and MK Dobs at home and concedeing in injury time at Boro.

Is this the same 'fixture list' excuse used by Bruce on what is it 5/6/7/8 occasions this season.

Did we play poor negative football for the entirety of last season, or did a tactical genius just get us relegated for a laugh?

Now you usually talk sense. The games you mentioned are not whats killed us. Its the losses to Preston, Rotherham and Leeds and points dropped to Blackburn at home in injury time… holding on for a 1-0 etc etc.

'Poor negative football'? It was good entertaining enough to beat Liverpool (for the second reason running) and Everton, and to get draws at the Etihad and the Emirates.

Ah don't tell me...he got it all wrong in those games, we should have attacked more in those last two games.
Or was he just outwitted by Pellegrini and Wenger?

I do like him, he's a nice guy. I just don't think he's that good of a manager.

As I said already, beating Brentford isn't exactly an achievement with this squad is it?

I'm not sure what it is Bruce is convincing you of, but in the real world of football, expectations of our team are pretty damn high. The performances haven't matched what we know the squad is capable of, so why on Earth should we be content with less than 100% from everybody involved? Even Bruce himself has admitted to ****ing up a few times this season, the man isn't infallible. I hold him accountable because he's the bloke in charge of the team.

Many of you were questioning Tom Huddlestone's selection earlier in the season, yet Bruce kept picking him despite poor performances. You've spent the better part of 4 months claiming the manager isn't to blame for player underachievement and isn't culpable for our performances this season (which is ****ing bonkers, who the hell else is to blame?!). Well, ok, if he isn't to blame for the actual performance, is he not to blame for continually picking an underperforming player? Or do you also stand by his decision to make mental team decisions and substitutions?

Get a grip, I'm not out to get Steve Bruce because I don't like the guy, the proof is in the pudding this season. He took an expensive team down from the Premier League and, having kept pretty much the same squad plus additions, has failed to take us back up automatically despite having a squad brimming with international players of proven Premier League quality.

While we're at it, my tactics are never the right or wrong tactics, I'm a fan and it's my opinion (a concept you seem to struggle grasping). The wrong team isn't automatically the one Bruce picks either. If you don't agree then fine, I'll have a look down the back of the settee for a **** to give, but don't spout a load of **** about what I definitely think or know or try and get pious by mentioning coaching badges. Like you've never criticised a person in another profession.

Love him or hate him I honestly cannot find one good reason for him wanting to stay next season whether we get back to the Premier league or stay in the Championship. I cannot see him going anywhere just for the sake of it either as I believe that only an offer from a Club with far more potential than ours would tempt him.

There's no point trying to spread positivity now the season is just about over, It's not as though we've any important games coming up that need fans to have a positive outlook.
