from what I understand of it all ,my dads first cousin was joan bulmer Acworth we wouldn't have got anywhere if it wasn't for her fascinating story she was Katherine howards best friend and was tried with her for treason ,but pardoned she later went on to marry sir Edward waldegrave they had several children who married into the Clopton family which is the howard tree .From where it goes here alice Clopton married the duke of norfolks cousin, I wrote off to the Clopton genology center out in the states and they said cousin as they listed joan Acworth in the same bit as the first duke of Norfolk john howard so then you go across you not only see 2 other dukes in it u have some of the biggest families ever to live here in the uk so with the list on the Clopton site we counted anne b and Katherine howard are my cousens all thanks to joan bulmer Acworth this is a who do u think u are moment!its also on record the current duke of Norfolk wrote to me saying he had to remove joan Acworth from his tree as their was so many in front of him meaning if this is correct my dad should as it stands be the proper duke of Norfolk so what I'm trying to do now is put joan Acworth back on the howard tree where she rightfully should stay the duke family have committed fraud and theft on a grand scale and lawyers I have spoken to said take him to court on it could win big money so I leave it up to u decide
