No. Nobody's ever asked for one, as far as I know. It ends up creating endless bickering threads between users deleting each others comments and creating threads about each other. No bickering here, of course...
"The thread spread to 4 pages because every Spurs fan came to tell me how wrong I was. All I did was defend my corner and once I (should have) realised that my opinions were not going to be taken as gospel, I decided to try and add another 4 page min of the same tripe." <fixed>
I think that I've probably let a little too much go recently, to be honest. I think I've deleted about 3 comments in the past several weeks and they're all in this thread. Could be wrong...
The consensus on JA606 Spurs was to continually delete the idiots off any of your articles so they got the collective message. For those who were on school home time or too stupid to understand the message, then users filtered them. [ The JA606 "filter" means you see nothing of theirs - and they cannot post on anything of yours. ]
Wouldn't the ignore feature work in a similar fashion on here? We don't actually have that many articles posted, so I'm not sure how useful it would be. Asking people not to insult or abuse other users seems to prevent most of the ridiculous stuff. As I said earlier, PMing mods will probably help reduce anything else. The line between debating and being annoying can get a little blurry at times, so we'd appreciate the help.
I'd agree if it weren't for the fact that a dozen or so other posters on this board are in full agreement with me, including 2 of our 3 mods. It really is sad that of your last 100 posts, 12 were on the Leicester board and 88 were on ours. You are a sophisticated wum, plain and simple. And yes, I only discovered that statistic in my search for the ignore button, which I will now use. Not before reminding you that: - We play better football than you - Alderweireld is the best CB in the country - Vardy is a diving cheat - Huth uses his elbows more than his feet - Those sheets of cardboard your fans bang up and down all game are the most f*cking annoying thing to happen to football since the vuvuzela Farewell good sir
The 'spectral spike' on the debating line that shows the idiot who cannot get the message, or WUM wannabee, is often very precise.
I think there has been a lot of winding up from supporters of both sides ( me included btw ) ! On a personal note, I have never intended to cause offence to anyone on here, so if I have I sincerely apologise ! I prefer to call my comments " banter " or defending my corner when for whatever reason some of the members of this board have, for what ever reason been a little derogatory themselves ( Yiddo Kev being one) even when I've been humble or complimentary. If anyone on here can say, hand on heart that they haven't wound up other fans then I doff my hat off to you but I had a read of posts on the Arsenal board and to be fair, quite a few of your guys are doing the same ! I think its all tongue in cheek banter tbf and as I've said before, I've always had a soft spot for Spurs and wish you well ! Regards, Mick.
Mick; Speaking personally, I use the Prem board for banter. It's expected there. We spend half the day taking the piss out of each other. When you do it on a team's own board, it can be taken the wrong way.
