Looking at the situation with the Posh, I can only guess Norwich's asking price was to high, despite Cody appearing to be interested in staying with the Gills. If Norwich think their going to get over 500k for a player that spent last season in league two, they have got to be having a laugh. Best thing Cody can do is sit out, until Norwich eventually wake up and come to their senses.
Agreed, and I posted something along similar-ish lines on the Cody thread. On the subject of this thread, the problem now is that Hess has spent the budget and, from all reports, more, so I fear that he'll just have to work with what he's got. I really can't see us making another signing, even on a free as that would commit to wages outgoings (unless pay as you play, which is VERY unlikely), so if they do need another striker it'll surely have to be on a loan basis.
It's all right addicks, we don't need Benson now, we can buy Premier League... http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/70267-Seven-year-deal...
My sources say that Benno wants to stay and fight for his place. He loves it at the Valley and CP wants to keep him.
