So Burnley fans are throwing 'hissy fits' over possible disruption to the game... for feck sake get over yourselves! It seems that if the game is forced to be abandoned then (as all Champ games on last day of season have to finish at the same time) all the last day Championship games would have to be replayed and the play-off games would have to be delayed as a result. So, forcing the game to be abandoned would cost the Club and the Douche an absolute mint in fines and probably claims from other Champ Clubs for the additional costs of staging replayed games. Even the threat of abandonment will result in the Club having to import far more security people than normal and cost the regime a fortune.. The pressure will tell ... eventually AllHell
They're being pedantic, only due to what hinges on the final day. Out of the top three, they have the easiest game. They could wrap it up this weekend if Brighton or Middlesbrough lose, and final day it's Middlesbrough vs. Brighton. Let's face it, said on another post, we've protested against the other two clubs: 1. Brighton won; Hughton had a game plan, stuck to it and adapted his tactics throughout the game, against our clueless team and clueless tactics 2. We only won against Middlesbrough due to the issues surrounding Aitor's resignation-resigning, so they really didn't prepare for the match, but the protests did not faze their players at all Sean Dyche I think, is a solid British manager. Knows the league well, and can handle the pressure. Pretty sure that he's been briefing his team on the implications over the last few weeks of what it might entail. But sticking to their game plan. End of the day, they got QUALITY, in their team and experienced players. They'll handle and read the situation, perform superbly and ultimately beat us. Might not be a 4 or 5 - 0 thrashing like previously, but they only need to win by one goal which will happen.
It would be a result if all the other games were given extended h/t breaks so that we would catch up second half. Alternatively, suspend all the games while the beach balls or whatever are being cleared.
I'm sure that they'll make the exception. Imagine Burnley are winning 0 - 3 after 34 minutes after a 12 minute delay. Not like that'll affect the outcome of other games or the league table. Only if they were losing and Brighton and Middlesbrough were drawing because they both only needed a point to go up, could it be an issue.
What about at the end? A lap of honour??! Maybe another early walkout and demo, if enough customers would do it.
Boro and Brighton both had to contend with the protests - and neither complained. I took a boro fan to the game and he loved them! The reaction on Twitter by Burnley fans is hilarious being honest. One guy suggested the FL threaten to demote us 10 divisions!!! To be fair - that might get Roland to sell.
I won't be staying for any end of season lap of honour, and will be my last visit to the Valley as a season ticket holder, might go to a few games especially away, lets hope Wimbledon get promoted as it's just round the corner from me
duh duh duh duh dah duh dah daar.. think's of naby-sarr..... Couldn't get it out of my head at work today, horrendous !
I think we should get on the pitch, the players go in the stands, WE do a lap of honour and the useless b******* applaud us.
The Burnley fans shouldn't complain at all. If we delay the game it gives them the advantage of finishing late, so they'll know what the others have done, and what they themselves have to do. Which is maybe a reason for looking at other strategies.
