The two incidents involved different fans of the same club. Why tar them all with the same brush? The yobs who behaved badly on the Palace occasion are different from us, aren't they? As I said, the reason they've been "going on about it" is because of the number of lies told, and the verdict of the jury exonerates them completely, what else could they have done?
Despite the jury's verdict, I think a significant number of Liverpool fans did enter Leppings Lane that day without tickets. That is not to suggest they deserved to die. What sticks in my throat is the way professional Scousers like Gerrard and John Aldridge have got involved today. Did they speak out about Heysel? Their A la carte morality makes me want to puke.
The jury heard evidence for 2 years. Think about what you were doing 2 years ago. And it's clear they went over every detail, so having been on a very conscientious jury quite recently they have my respect, and I accept their findings.
It's been a season of lows. I had a 50 quid bet with a West Ham supporting mate that they'd go down; madness with hindsight but it was made pre-Bilic and I fancied them to struggle after Big Sam went. At least every football fan can bask in the Leicester story.
Congratulations to the Murdoch Press this morning (The Sun and the Times) for not succumbing to the fake outrage and hysteria, and leaving the Hillsborough story off their front pages. Sad to see Gary Lineker joining in with the lemmings. Some people fall very easily for "group think" Spare a thought today for the families of the innocent Juventus fans killed at Heysel - no doubt they would like a public inquiry and a Tweet from Steven Gerrard as well. Two faced hypocrites.
In regards to Heysel - weren't people prosecuted at the time? Obviously everyone is aware of the consequences to English clubs, but accountability was determined which makes the situation different.
The scousers are pure scum. Let's not forget that the heysel memorial at anfield was drowned out by chanting. Before hillsborough they sung about the Munich disaster (they still do) and after hillsborough it's all mutual respect, doesn't matter who you support etc. **** off. It's called karma you scouse ****ers.
Kenny Dalglish on the radio this morning - calm, dignified and classy in his comments. No mention of newspapers who didn't kill anybody, no Twitter-fuelled bandwagon jumping. Very refreshing.
Let's leave it on the Dalglish note. Dons declared his love for the scousers over and over - soppy sod
Can we please put an end to this now, a lot of families in Liverpool have lost people very dear to themselves and we should respect that. These families were fighting for the truth and they have now got that we should accept that and now move on. So back to the Belgians!
I hate them bloody Belgians. Well only the two of them. Think the rest of their nation are okay. And their chocolate... And maybe these two (They're well alright in my books):
I see we commemorated our magnificent cup win 69 years ago yesterday by losing the Kent Senior Cup 3-1 to Dartford. I ended up supporting the Darts. They're my non league team, and it meant more to them than it would have to us. Plus I would'nt want KM claiming any sort of trophy. Still, I believe we conceeded from corners twice, so good to see the same mentality being coached through all the levels at the club.
I on occasion wear a beige mac to The Valley and by coincidence have hair the same colour as TinTin; I fear I may be caught up in some hate crime soon if I keep going.
Cray Wanderers has always been my non-league team. They've finally got permission to build their new stadium "Foxbury Park" over the old Flamingo Park site, which will expect to be completed for the 2017/2018 season, which is walkable distance from my place. I've not renewed my ST, but if we're still in the same boat come the end of this season, I know where I'm going to be going next.
