How exactly is it disingenuous? You accused me of something that I didn't say / do. I ask again, where did I (on this thread) make an ill informed judgment based on prejudices?
How exactly is it disingenuous? You accused me of something that I didn't say / do. I ask again, where did I (on this thread) make an ill informed judgment based on prejudices? On such an emotive issue I frankly refuse to be tarred with some ****ing sloppy brush of your choosing.
Let's just have a look at The Sun's front page tomorrow... please log in to view this image Oh, look, not a single mention. In fact, Hillsborough gets no mention until page 10. ****ing pricks. Worth mentioning The Times also has **** all on the front page about Hillsborough.
So judging by the wall of silence I take it we both agree I didn't do what you accused me of. Next time, read carefully and think before you post baseless claims on such an emotive issue. Pathetic.
Another fine piece in today's Guardian: http://www.theguardian.com/football...erm=169123&subid=10107068&CMP=EMCNEWEML6619I2

Just away from the disgrace of South Yorkshire Police, I'm stunned there isn't more focus on the eligibility of the venue itself. In the Leppings Lane end alone there was just short of the entire capacity of the KC, a total of 24,000 fans. After seeing 7000 crammed into the same space - admittedly in seats - I find that extraordinary. Exactly who granted the safety certificate for that?
Hillsborough's safety certificate was "out of date" at the time of the stadium disaster, a jury has heard. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-27639456
I just reflected onthat figure of 24,000 in the Leppings Lane end and i can't actually believe it's right. I heard / read it yesterday but it seems impossible.
A small paragraph in which they don't apologise or admit their own faults and blame others in the corner of page 10. And they wonder why people think The Sun is a disgrace.
David Conn's article currently in the Guardian is one of the best articles I've ever read, as others have said, it's incredibly gutwrenching and damning. His one in 2009 which pretty much started the wheels for the inquests was an unbelievable read also. His 2009 article: http://www.theguardian.com/football...ugh-disaster-police-south-yorkshire-liverpool
Completely agree on Conn, he's brilliant. Will have to find that conversation later, no access to a radio at the moment.
Ignoring the fact that they obviously have apologised in that small piece I posted, it's only the bit from their editorial, these are pages 8 and 9 in today's Sun... please log in to view this image please log in to view this image It's a **** rag, I can't believe so many people read it, but there's some right inaccurate rubbish being posted about them ignoring the verdict.
Isnt he the one who challenged Hinchcliffe and Bucchanen all those years ago when the local rag swallowed everything they said?
