Good god, how ****ing awful has this guy been since the turn of the year? I mean we all know that Walcott has never been a great footballer, but he had some decent attributes, his pace and the timing of his runs, but even that has gone to ****. Of course, we have to try and sell him in the summer, but even with him being English, I can't him going for anything over £20 Mil, which is pretty tragic, because we have invested over 10 years worth of delevelopment on this guy, and he is meant to be in his prime. Then we have the problem of his wages, who the hell is going to pay him £140k a week?
To be honest he wasn't the only one that went missing in the second half, Oxo, Ramsey and Sanchez all went Casper. God knows what would have happened if Ozil was injured.....
I reckon we could get 10-15 million for him which I wouldn't mind he would do well at a mid table team
Flog him to anyone who will have him. Still waiting for him to "develop". That has been the case since about 2009.
Got booed when he came on against West Brom. Not all out but you could hear it. How far we've come from the "Theo Theo Theeeeoooo" days.
Walcott reminds me of those limping cute puppies....uttlerly useless but people feel too guilty to put it down because of those puppy eyes.
He's had a decade at Arsenal now and it's clear he can't cut it consistently at the top level. Shame, but there's no room for sentiment. Time to sell him.
The real shame maybe that it is Arsenal's environment that has prevented him from flourishing. He was pushed to the front of the team too early in his career when it is clear he lacks the leadership character to perform with that responsibility. He is better suited at either a mid table club or a top club where he is a small fish in a big pond. In other words he will never score the bulk of goals to mount a title change for a top team.
I think it was a good thing that he was given the chances as a young player. It was injuries that hampered his progress, not the environment at Arsenal. He looked like he was going to become a top player, and on his day he has been. But at this level he just isn't consistent enough. We can't really afford to carry him any longer, he's 27 now and I'd rather see Alexis on the right with a new winger brought in for the left side.
I am sure we have all seen that clip where Walcott jumps over the ball when running into a potential clash with Kaboul the other day, **** me, what a piece of gutless **** this guy is. Is he trying to avoid injury in order to make the Euro's? Well, you won't even get picked you ****ing numpty.
Walcott epitomises everything that is wrong with Arsenal. He is (or was) a great player when things we working out, but as soon as someone berates him or he has a few bad games, he stops even trying. He should stop feeling sorry for himself, or else he needs to be sold.
