I'm 29 and a marine engineer, been round the world with my job and seen some crazy stuff. Been working in brazil for the past 3 year now (not 3 years solid, probably equates to just over half the year in brazil and the rest at home). Who ever said they want to live in brazil........you don't. Its not cheap at all and the people i have come across/work with are bone idle. Thats my view anyway. There is no place like home for me, miss my family too much when I'm away.

I'm 18, in college and trying to pave a way for a career in life, far too sensible for my age.

Prices in the north of Brazil are massively cheap mate. Not sure about Rio, Sao Paulo and that but just up passed Recife it's cheap as chips.

It's a good approach to take. Better to make something of yourself, than make an arse of yourself.

Never been that far north like fella so don't know. Think I am just too much of a home bird so I lean towards home over living in any country. Then again, it might just be working away that has warped my opinion. Don't think I could afford to.work at home though, that's for sure.

I'm a 26 year old cynic, scared of commitment and resentful of the human race in general.

I haven't mate. I don't really get the time to be honest. Alot of my time is spent on a ship. I get a day and night in rio before I join a ship and a day and a night when I get off before I come home and if I hit it right, there is the possibility as the hotel will normally lay on a bus to take you and bring you back from a match. But as the marracana is being refurbished for the world cup, the hotel havent got the deal on at the minute. Hoping to get to one eventually like. Should still be down here for the world cup too and it will be absolute chaos down here. They just haven't got the infrastructure. Botafogo play in black and White, so been watching a few of their games on the tv.

Work away myself so i know what it's like. Not as glamorous as rio though. Worked in Rhyl, they play in black and white.

Both teams from Rio a local derby bit like chelsea v westham rich club v poor
the thing I remember most was the sound of all the drums , when we got of the coach, sounded like something out of the film Zulu

Fortelaza is meant to be decent, my lasses uncle has a load of development on his books there, it looks beautiful, you just have to be careful to make sure you arrange for it to have utilities installed, cos if you don't ask, you don't get, and you get landed with a 20k bill, and you have to seek consent to run a pipeline under existing prop.

If the pipe runs under 20 gaffs, that's 20 peoples consent you need! Nuts.

Cheers mate. Old Sydie's a senstive soul, that ban button gives himself a little bit of power he's waited 60 years for, bet he gets half a erection everytime he thinks of using it.

To be fair BDU, Syd does not remove posts or ban anyone without very good reason, and if you are honest you would have to agree with that.

Wait for him to post the crap he usually does on the Sunderland board before judging that.

    Strange choice, why Iceland?

But what if you and family lived there?

Dont be, most people are good

    that answers a few questions

I wish he would keep this head on

You forget to mention the PM's I send you trying not to ban you,

And again a very, very unfair opinion but the problem when people see what they want to see. I honestly dont want to ban anyone, ever and every ban is the result of boards members complaining to mods then mods requesting a ban, I only press the button when all else fails. But dont you goletting facts spoil things
