**** the key, they aren't offended by it, so who cares? People just need to utilise a little common sense in these situations.
What Spurs call themselves is up to them but when others use it, it does constitute rascism from my perspective. I suppose one day CHAV will be deemed degrogatory when someone decides to pursue legal action for being called one. Why not try it?
To be fair his football team is ****ing **** and using a racist term for another set of fans makes him feel that little bit better about things. Given how few Chelsea posters there are in this forum, it's pretty damning that so many of them are bigoted throwbacks who belong to an era that is best forgotten.
Never got on board with the whole Yid thing being racist to be honest. Its just what they are called, they refer to themselves as yids, so I never saw an issue with it. Then again a lot of black people refer to themselves with the N word.....and thats a definite No-No.....its weird.
Well its kinda different because Spurs fans never minded, and still dont as far as I know, being called Yids, even by non Spurs fans. Where as Black folk definitely take umbrage if they are called the N word by anyone other than another black person.
Simple truth Bodanki. When he's ****ed off at how **** Chelsea are he rants about other fans. I guess it's like a primal scream.
Fair enough but I disagree. We are friendly with a Spurs supporting family. They are Jewish and I'm certain they'd find the Yids tag unnecessary and offensive.
Oh yes. Were etched on his mind all the time, which is why he's on this board so much. Fooking obsession.
The issue of the Yid nickname was raised by someone else. I simply made it clear that I find it offensive. If that makes me a dick then I can live with that fella!
